BELIEVERS vs. FOLLOWERS
By Rev Dean Beaty 3/9/09
I Corinthians 6:19-20 “What? know ye not that your body is
the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” (KJV)
There is a mighty difference in people who believe.
Some become the followers that others don’t achieve.
The difference between the two is not in their salvation.
The difference you see is in their transformation.
They both may be believers whose sins are washed away.
One has made surrender as a part of every day.
Not just one decision to give to God his all.
But he sees it as a lifestyle. His following is a call.
They both must face the battle of who is in control.
One may give a little, the other gives the whole.
Singing “I Surrender All” may start them on their way.
The one just for the moment, the other day by day.
A follower is a Christian who knows he has a debt.
He knows he’s not arrived, ‘cause God is not through yet.
There are lessons to be learned and battles to be fought.
His life is not his own. With Christ’s blood he has been bought.
