ROSE-COLORED  GLASSES

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the

LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (KJV)

Rose-colored glasses are not found in God’s Word.

To put them on a soldier would really be absurd.

We are to be soldiers with the armor of our God.

Soldiers with rosy glasses would certainly look odd.

Yet rosy-colored glasses are what some Christians wear.

They think the Christian life should be absent of all care.

No sickness should afflict them and no financial woe.

Good health and prosperity is all that they should know.

They must not read their Bible of David, Job or Paul,

Jacob or son Joseph, but God was with them all.

Man is born to trouble as the sparks fly toward the sky. (Job 5:7)

Christians aren’t exempt ‘til in heaven by and by.

Our Father has a purpose in the trials that we face;

To draw us ever closer by experiencing His grace.

Three stalwart Hebrew children would have never walked with God,

Except trials faced with Daniel made them not peas-in-a-pod.

Whatever your fiery furnace or the trials that you bear:

God will be there with you so trust His loving care.

Be strong in the Lord, friend, and the power of His might.

Trust God’s mighty wisdom to always do what’s right.*

Genesis 18:25 “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”(KJV)
