I would like to say that I am sorry for not being around much lately. After my car accident, the one I walked away from, I tripped and fell inside my own house, and really messed up my foot. Luckily though, I didn't break anything. I sprained it badly instead.
So, for the last week, I have been lazing around, keeping my booted foot elevated. Sitting at the desk makes my toes throb. (Not a good thing.)
I've got one more week in the pressure boot, and then I'll be back to the usual routine, and you'll see more of me. (How's that for a threat?)
This has been the most boring week ever. I am not couch potato material. However, on the bright side, my family has been taking very good care of me, and it is nice to be taken care of. My son gave me an earful the other day, just because I hobbled out to bring in some firewood, while he was in school. (It was cold in the house.)
I have taken some time, too, to start submitting my manuscript to literary agents. Keep your fingers crossed for me, that I find a good one. I can't wait to see this one in print. Sure, I may be biased, but this is a story that I really believe will sell.
My husband drew the cover art, and I am very proud of the job he did on it. Being so new at this sort of thing, I wanted to have Jeff draw the cover in an effort to keep production cost down, but I don't know if a publisher will use it. Why hire an artist when I am married to one? I'm just trying to cover all the bases.
I'll close this now, since the toes are talking to me. Have an awesome weekend! Trina
