THE  MERCIES  OF  GOD

Genesis 32:10 “I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant;” (KJV)

“I am not worthy of the least of Thy mercies.”

Alone, Thou hast saved me through all my adversities.

I could not deserve the love Thou hast shown to me.

Thou hast saved me from sin for now and eternity.

What boasting have I?  Of what good may I brag?

All of my righteousness is just like a filthy rag.*

But Thou Lord hast robed me in clean garments of white

That I may approach Thee and live in Thy sight.

Such fools men can be to think they can earn their way.

Their good is but grass which will burn up on judgment day.

Void of God’s favor, condemned by His only Son.

For they held in contempt the sacrifice that He had done.

Oh thank Thee dear Lord for Thy mercies are new each day.*

Thy grace is sufficient to take all my sins away.

Have you trusted in Christ to be your own Lord and King?

Come only by faith there is nothing you need to bring.

*Lamentations 3:22-23 “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

*Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
