TROPHIES  OF  GOD’S  GRACE

Did you ever win a trophy?  Perhaps you won a race.

God says that we’re a trophy, a trophy of God’s grace.

That means we’re on display for all the world to see.

We’re a testament to God’s love throughout all eternity.

All the trophies here on earth are made of different stuff.

There is silver gold and brass or something you can buff.

They are shiny for the purpose of catching someone’s eye.

Do you reflect God’s glory when other folks pass by?

Some metals tarnish quickly.  Some Christians do the same.

One would hardly know for sure that they bear the Savior’s name.

Then others are a treasure, they’re made of precious gold.

They show forth the love of God.  To them it’s never old.

As you look into the mirror, is a trophy what you see?

A memorial to Jesus for what He won on Calvary.

Friend, you can change the metal of what you are made of,

By showing forth the Savior and His wondrous gift of love.
