ENCOURAGING  DEEDS

Mark 9:41 “For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink

 in my name… verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.” (KJV)

Who have you encouraged in this week?

Maybe by the words that you speak.

By the simple lift you give,

Someone may desire to live.

Without your help their outlook would be bleak.

The help you were may never now be known,

Until you reach God’s heavenly throne.

Every deed of kindness done,

Gold, and silver you have won.

So put into your voice a soothing tone.

No one will ever take these deeds away.

They’ll pass the test of fire on that day.

As God has brought them near,

Give to them a word of cheer.

Your gift of kindness God will repay.

Helpful though you have been today,

Keep on spread kindness on your way.

Like the cup of water given,

It won’t lose reward in heaven.

Remember everyone has feet of clay.
