PERFECT  PEACE

JOHN 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world

giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”(KJV)

“My peace I give unto you,” is what Christ told His crew.

“Not as the world giveth, give I unto you.”

The “My” is so important, for this is the “Peace of God.”

This wasn’t flowery language like so empty cheap façade.

The peace of Jesus Christ comes from His omnipotence.

With a word He stilled the sea, for His power is immense.

His omniscience gives great peace, for God’s knowledge is complete.

He knows all that lies ahead and the trials we will meet.

Omnipresence means God’s near when e’er our heart might ache.

Jesus’ promise to His child, that His own He’d not forsake.

Take great comfort in this truth that His Spirit’s by our side.

He lives in the Christian’s heart, as our comfort and our guide.

All the books that authors write would fill a library.

Yet would not contain the whole of His promised guarantee.

I’ve yet to mention heaven and the home prepared for me.

Where we will dwell with Christ for all eternity.
