GLUTINOUS  GREED

Proverbs 21:20 “Hell and destruction are never full;

so the eyes of man are never satisfied.”

Your stomach knows when it is filled.

But the eyes of men are not that skilled.

The body knows when it is tired.

But there’s always more to be acquired.

Can greedy man be satisfied,

When wanting all that he has eyed?

No, always just a little more,

Will help to even up the score.

God says we are to be content. (Hebrews 13:5 & I Timothy 6:8)

Not, how much more could we have spent.

Being content right from the start,

Can bring great joy and peace of heart.

God knows how much to trust us with.

The joy of wealth is just a myth.

So let God choose to fill your purse.

For wealth is worthless in a hearse.
