NO  BELLS  IN  THE  STEEPLE

The churches are there with spires in the air,

But no bells in the steeple, good news to declare.

Inside it’s the same, other things are their aim.

Seldom if ever do they mention God’s name.

They talk about money and things that are funny.

When Easter rolls round, it is eggs and the bunny.

Oh Lord, what a loss of Thy blood and the cross.

Along with God’s Word which also was tossed.

No wonder our land has lost what is grand.

Forgetting our blessings came from His hand.

Because we’ve been blind to God’s Word and His mind,

Our nation has long been in a decline.

Ring the bells loud once more.  Preach God’s Word as before.

And pray to the Father, His Grace to restore.
