THERE  IS  PLEASURE  IN  SIN

Hebrews 11:25 (Moses) “Choosing rather to suffer affliction with

the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.”

The pleasures of sin are real but only for a season.

They are there to lure us in and that’s the only reason.

It’s like a fishing hook, covered with tempting bait.

We go for what looks real but by then it is too late.

Sin is like a honey bee.  Sweet honey we desire.

We forget about the sting that hurts and burns like fire.

The pleasure of the honey has tempted many men,

Who then are stung to death by that which lures them in.

“The wages of sin is death.”  Watch out for Satan’s snare.(Romans 6:23)

He’s the father of all lies.  God warns us to beware.

He is the great destroyer and seeks your soul to win.

He’ll bring you down to hell by binding you in sin.

But there is great good news; his defeat is swift and sure.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord who is the only cure.

When we were lost in sin, Christ paid redemption’s price.

He paid the price in full as the final sacrifice.

Our own righteousness adds up to filthy rags.(Isaiah 64:6)

For nothing good have I of which my soul can brag.

God’s gift to us is free we cannot earn His grace,

If salvation was not free we would never see God’s face.
