A  CHRISTMAS  OVERHAUL

Colossians 1:18  “That in all things He

might have the preeminence.” (KJV)

Have you ever knelt in prayer,

Thanking God that Christ came here?

That’s what Christmas is all about.

Don’t celebrate and leave Christ out.

Where would we be had Christ not come?

The thought of that should leave you numb.

Lost from God in Satan’s grip.

The lake of fire our final trip.

No Redeemer, no hope in sight.

Bound for hell’s eternal plight.

But praise the Lord, the Savior came.

And there’s salvation through His Name.

Not only came but died for sin.

And by His blood we’re born again.

We need a Christmas overhaul,

By making Jesus first of all.

LOOK  BEYOND  THE  MANGER

When you see the Christ child safe on Mary’s breast,

Don’t just see the infant and then forget the rest.

Many at this season don’t look beyond His birth.

They fail to see the purpose for His coming to the earth.

Beside the manger bed, a cross should stand nearby.

To keep it clear before us that Jesus came to die.

Before God made the heavens this plan was in His mind,

To give His only Son to die for all mankind.

In complete surrender to do the Father’s will,

Christ knew that He would carry the cross up Cal’vry’s hill.

He came to shed His blood as the sacrifice for sin.

He is the only way to be cleansed and born again.

Look beyond the manger and His birth so long ago.

That is the beginning.  There’s more for you to know.

Christ is the Redeemer who died upon the tree.

Your faith in Jesus Christ, from sin can set you free.
