A Thanksgiving Prayer
11/15/2008 1:20:32 PM
I was reading today in Philippians 1:1-11 , being that its almost Thanksgiving. Heres a prayer. Dear Father,Thank you for the great joy I feel about my fellow believers.Thank you for the partnership we have in your Son Jesus. Thank you that we are common partakers of your grace. Give us all the grace to yearn for each other with the affection of Christ.Help our love to abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of righteousness that come through Jesus Christ, to your glory and praise! In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen.  :) God_bless you today and tomorrow. Prayerwarrior.

Thank you for the prayer, Thomas.

"Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father; and from the Lord Jesus Christ."

Phillippians 1:2

Wonderful verse.

Love and peace,

Sara

Thanks Thomas,

I am in a study of prayer and faith and upon studying Mark 11-22-24 I have a better understanding of pray and faith. A light went off in my Spirit when I begin to understand,"When you pray believe and you shall have what you prayed."With that instruction in mind and the condition we hear from various news reports that our country is in financially,Let's pray for guidance of our leaders both elected and non-elected that their decisions be guided by the wisdom of God and guide us to a speedy recovery and a new direction from the one who caused us to be where we are today. Forgive them Father but keep them and their influence away from effecting us in our new direction that will be annointed by the wisdom of God. In the name of Jesus Amen

Hello Thomas,

One of the refreshing things about this community is that there are people who really care. And people who pray. Many people have no idea of what Thanksgiving is all about. I have read the stories about the Native Americans and the Pilgrims, so I know that has very little to do with real Thanksgiving. Few people connect Thanksgiving with prayer. They connect it to sales.

Peace,

Lucy
