A Willingly Enslaved Press

Hitler enslaved the press by means of might and force.

When they are willing slaves, prepare for great remorse.

When all the news we get offers us no debate,

Dictatorship comes next and we suffer Europe’s fate.

When power is man’s goal and good men will not fight.

Corruption takes control and rules by its might.

When dissent is done away, freedom is in its grave.

When only one view is held a man becomes a slave.

Freedom of speech is there but not for me or you.

It’s freedom to those who hold to the accepted view.

Dissent is first to go by calling it “racism.”

Then we will really see control by fascism.

The Bible was condemned; we took God from our schools.

Fifty years have produced a nation full of fools.

The Living God is dead; evolution took His place.

No hope is now in sight unless we seek God’s face.
