GOD’S WARNING
Numbers 32:23

All God’s word should profit us.
But there’s a verse we must discuss.
This promise we must never doubt.
“Be sure your sins will find you out.”
Like bloodhounds from the pit of hell;
They’ll track us down where e’er we dwell.
In time the seeds of sin will sprout.
“Be sure your sins will find you out.”
“I’ve masked my sin with sweet perfume.”
That you’ll get by; do not presume.
“But now my life is most devout.”
“Be sure your sins will find you out.”
“My sins were done in dead of night.”
To God, the darkness is as light.
“In the church I’ve lots of clout.”
“Be sure your sins will find you out.”
Rank or stature will not suffice,
To go against God’s true advice.
Servant or king or Boy Scout.
“Be sure your sins will find you out.”
A nation’s sins are just the same.
We’ve ignored and cursed God’s Holy name.
In Israel’s day He’d send a drought.
“Be sure your sins will find you out.”
