BE  STRONG  IN  THE  LORD

Ephesians 6:10

“Be strong in the Lord - and the power of His might.”

God’s equipped us to win - in our long daily fight.

Our sword and our shield - are supplied from God’s hand.

He expects us to fight - and to do all to stand.

The breastplate of righteousness - is not for display.

It’s just so much metal - unless used everyday.

Our loins gird with truth - at the break of each dawn,

Won’t do us much good - until it is put on.

The sword of the Spirit - or helmet of salvation,

Were never intended - to be just decoration.

The sword is God’s Word - take it up every day

It’s our only weapon - to keep Satan at bay.

It is not flesh and blood - whom we battle each day.

It’s Satan’s dominion - that stands in our way.

So, “Be strong in the Lord”- for in Him there’s no loss.

Our victory is assured - by the blood of His cross.

The Exceeding Greatness of His Power

Ephesians 1:9 & Ephesians 6:11

If we’re going to survive - in these troubling days;

We must first learn to trust - in God’s power and His ways.

We need to know - God’s in control every hour.

“And what is the exceeding - greatness of His power.”

He alone has the power - over life and the grave.

For He arose from the tomb;- to us, vict’ry He gave.

Christ has full control - over all of my being.

For He has the power - to control everything.

Everything that’s alive,- whether mighty or small.

Our God has the power - to have rule over all.

I was once “dead - in trespasses and sin.”

Now I’m raised to new life;- a new start to begin.

“The…greatness of His Power;”- totality of control;

Brings hope and great peace - in the depths of my soul.

His power keeps on working - and helps me to stand.

For I’m kept by His power - and secure in His hand.

“Stay in the battle - and Satan will leave the field”*

Keep fighting the good fight – to God only yield.

God will give you strength - to win in the fight.

So, “Be strong in the Lord,- and in the power of His might.”
