DOUBTING  SALVATION

After you’ve trusted in Jesus the Lord;

Asked to be saved by the blood Christ outpoured.

Why would you doubt that the Lord’s entered in?

Saved for eternity and cleansed from all sin?

The answer in part is continuing in SIN.

Not having victory o’er the old man within.

If we say we’ve not sinned, we make God a liar.

Even sinned since the time we were saved from hell’s fire.

So daily confession of the sins we have done,

That’s where we start so the victory is won.

Continuing in sin; breaks fellowship with God.

But that does not mean our salvation is flawed.

Then there’s CIRCUMSTANCES of every day life.

If saved; why the trouble, pain, and the strife?

We’re still in a world that is cursed through with sin.

Think of poor Job with those boils on his skin.

Then there is SATAN and his devilish crew.

The father of lies saying, “It is not true.”

“You cannot be saved; just look at your heart.”

But “Look unto Jesus”, that’s where you start.

Remember Christ said, “I will not cast you out.”

That should dispel all your worries and doubt.

We’re in Christ’s hands and we’re safe evermore.

Jesus will bring us to heaven’s bright shore.

Sin, circumstance, and Satan can raise a dark cloud.

But it’s Jesus the Savior of whom we’re so proud.

HE paid the debt by His blood on the tree.

HE saves from all sin for eternity.
