OUR  NEED  OF  BLESSING

Psalm 33:12

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

To be without God’s blessing we cannot afford.

How many times God’s answered to our panicked plea,

To save us from destruction, to heal and keep us free.

At Pearl we were hammered by Satan’s mighty power.

With God’s great strength and wisdom we rose up to the hour.

We prayed unto the Father to bring us through that war.

God gave us peace and plenty from heaven’s gracious store.

But then we took the Bible from out the public school.

We tried to live without it but we were more the fool.

In battles and in conflicts we’ve seen no victory.

And have drifted even farther from Him who made us free.

Until there is revival and turning back to God,

Our nation will be empty like a cheap facade.

Humility and prayer and confession of our sins,

According to the scriptures is where it all begins.*

*II Chronicles 7:14  “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”
