	Character Assassination Trina L.C. Sonnenberg Recently, I wrote a letter, asking for help in saving my house. My plea was genuine, but someone has decided to play a political game of character assassination with me as the target, in response to my cry for help. I know who this person is, and I have filed a police report against them. This person has supplied my business associates with misinformation, in an attempt to damage my credibility. They have disclosed information about my finances that are incomplete and inaccurate, as this person has no idea what my financial situation is. They have made defamatory remarks about my husband that are completely untrue. Why is this person doing this? Good question. She is mentally unstable. For the last eight years, her family has been harassing mine. Her grandmother is my neighbor, and the person we bought our home from in 1997. Her grandmother was a dear friend until my husband had a falling out with her daughter. Then the world shifted on its axis and life has been Hell. They have taken us to court over ridiculous things, such as our dog kennel, two inches of ground on the property line, and that's just the beginning. I had to get a restraining order against the grandmother because she had set up a video camera and was filming my backyard and taking still photos of my children. Two years ago this woman's mother was elected mayor of our small town, and was running a business that was in violation of a town ordinance. Last year they moved this business to the backyard next to my house; the grandmother's house. I did not like this, because her back yard now resembled Sanford and Son's (70's TV show about a junk dealer) So, I complained to the town board about it, and while investigating ways to shut them down, or have them move their business to a more acceptable location, I discovered that the mayor [the mother] had been doing some illegal things in office. I couldn't keep quiet about it, and made the board aware of my findings. I also contacted the district attorney's office about it too. This is why this woman is now trashing my reputation online. I didn't want to bog anyone down with a bunch of details, but this woman has attacked me publicly, so I am going to give you the details of the situation. In 1997 we bought the house we live in. Due to being self employed, when my husband got sick with pneumonia and couldn't work for six months, we had to refinance our house for big bucks, to keep our heads above water. So, the inexpensive house we bought became more expensive. Over the years, we've remodeled it and fixed it up to the point where it is worth four times what we originally paid for it, which is how we were able to refinance it for the equity. In 2002, my mother moved from Wisconsin, to live with us. Being that the house we live in is too small, and not very user friendly to a disabled woman, which my mother is, we bought another place, with the intention of remodeling it to be ADA accessible. We borrowed money to do this project. The intention being that we would all move into the new house and sell the one we live in. Are you with me so far? We ran out of money to finish the house, but have a mortgage on it nonetheless. We have a mortgage on both houses, but the new house is not ready to be lived in yet. My husband continues to work on it with materials purchased at the outset of the project, but we don't have everything we need to finish. Right now he is putting on the siding and roof. This person who has decided to make my personal finances the business of the world, claims that I own a six bedroom home. This is not true. We are building a four bedroom home. A room for each of our kids, ourselves and my mother. The fact of the matter is that we are going to lose both places if I cannot raise the money I am attempting to raise through the sale of my book. She has also stated that there is work to be had here, which is another lie. She says that no one will hire my husband because he is a criminal. Again, that is a lie. My husband has an excellent reputation as a builder, and is regarded as the best in the business here. The truth is that when Wall Street crashed, people we had pending contracts with, totaling more than $250,000 backed out on their projects, under the advice of their accountants and bankers. Now that I have divulged the whole story to you, I hope that you will disregard the lies being spread about me and my family by this hateful, vindictive woman. I have built my reputation online by busting scams, not being a scammer. I thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart, who has purchased a copy of my book to help me in this dire situation, and I hope that you all will continue to help me in my mission to save my home. I would also ask that if anyone sees defamatory information about me online, to please copy and forward it to me, so I can present it as evidence in the harassment case I intend to file against this person. 	Hi Trina, I was so sorry to read about your troubles and now the slanderous allegations of this hateful person. Rest assured that we know and appreciate the type of person you are and nothing will affect that. I hope you will reach the goal of 30,000 books sold and you'll be able to save your home. 	I'm so sorry to hear about the situation you spoke of Trina. I hope your book will be a success. I wrote you about it and I will be very happy to tell all my friends about it. 	Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I would have more to say, but I am sick today, and need to go back to bed. Actually, I've been sick for the last four days, and the stress that this person has caused me is not allowing me to recover as quickly as I would normally. 	You know what? Since this woman started emailing my friends and associates with her lies, I haven't sold a single book. Prior to that, I had been selling at least four a day. I still have 29,893 to go. Thank you for your support. Trina
