In a passage from his book "Audacity of Hope" Senator Obama says he would "stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction".

Pretty sure everyone has seen that quote before.

But as far as I know, neither the media nor debate moderators from the primaries nor Saddleback have asked Obama to clarify what he meant when we wrote that seemingly alarming statement in his book . If he has been asked, please correct me and share his response . But if not, then why not ? And shouldn't make every effort to insure that he is asked that question ?

And in the meantime, please tell us what that statement means to you ?
