WASHINGTON  D. C.

Since I am a Christian, I choose my words with care.

But when it comes to congress, it makes me want to swear.

As for politicians, we’ve the best money can buy.

What they’ve done to freedom is enough to make you cry.

They steal without a conscience and claim it’s what we need.

But line their purse with silver by plain old selfish greed.

Somewhere in hell it’s hottest and that is where they’ll go.

For now they’re burning Washington, as the British long ago.

They say that we’re deserving of the government we get.

But I’ve never seen, “Chief Liar” on a resume as yet.

They think a hundred billion is only pocket change.

How they spend our money is mighty, mighty strange.

At one time we had statesmen who looked out for our good.

Now we’ve politicians, who think their Robin Hood.

The hood that comes to my mind is hoodlum and falsehood

They all should be in prison along with Hollywood.

So, just what is the answer?  Let’s toss the rascals out.

Start with common people, like a Boy Scout.

No lawyers need apply.  We’ve had our fill of them.

That’s why we’re in this trouble and our future’s looking grim.
