To Whom Are You Looking?

To whom do you look to for hope, peace and rest?

In what direction is your searching quest?

If it’s man’s institutes, they’re bound to fail.

Many who ran them have been sent to jail.

Man is a sinner, blinded by greed.

The government’s run by men without a creed.

If you look to Washington, they’ll let you down.

There are no more statesmen or men of renown.

There is one lawmaker in whom you can trust.

None of His promises have ever gone bust.

He’ll rule this world from God’s righteous throne.

The one I’m referring to is Jesus alone.

Till Jesus reigns on earth, is there no hope?

Must we just muddle through trying to cope?

No!  Cast all your care on Him, He cares for you.

In Christ find peace and rest, hope will break through.
