“Accepted in the Beloved”
Ephesians 1:3, 6
By Rev. Dean Beaty 9/28/08
“Accepted in the beloved,” means I’m favored by the Lord.
Is it really possible, by my God I am adored?
Who me? A wretched sinner, dressed in a filthy rag.
Unworthy of God’s notice, no good of which to brag.
Yet placed within His family, joint heir with God’s own Son.
My sins have been forgiven and forgotten everyone.
I have a new beginning for I’ve been born again.
Redeemed by Jesus’ blood and washed clean of my sin.
“Redemption,” oh the wonder, from Satan’s grasp set free.
The blood of my Redeemer has paid the price for me.
Once a slave to Satan, I was bound by sin’s strong chord.
Now I’m a child of God, adopted by the Lord.
“Oh the riches of His grace,” with what joy I now can sing.
With my life made new in Jesus I am free to serve my King.
“Blessed be our God and Father who hath blessed us with His grace.”
Eternal in His presence, He’s preparing me a place. (John 14:2, 3)
