I will be off line this week mostly.
My mother called 6 am to let me know my step father passed away during night.
He had massive heart attacks in past, and health was declining. My mother is 80
years old, and they had just moved back to Florida to Ocala south of where I grew
up. I am glad they successfully made the move and got settled in before he passed
away.
My father was a Naval pilot, who was a test pilot after the war, and left a widow
with 6 kids. I was 5 yo. My mother married my stepfather when I was 18 yo
after they dated for 3 years. He was an awesome man, good to my mother and
all us kids. He loved the grandchild like they were his own and had great grandchildren before he passed on ...
Funeral is set for Saturday.
We are leaving Texas for Florida Wednesday morning and will be back the first of next week.
My son is taking off to take me.
