This weekend, I visited the Second Chance Sanctuary in Pickering, Ontario, and adopted a wonderful cat in desperate need of love and a forever home.

I'm quite sure there isn't an animal lover out there who wouldn't be touched by the story of this sanctuary and their fight to keep their doors open and their hundreds of animals safe. Click here to visit their site: http://www.second-chance.ws/

The founder of this sanctuary dedicated her retirement years and all of her savings to orphaned, sick or injured, and abandoned animals. If you are able to help in any way with donations, or by adopting one of these wonderful animals, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with someone at the sanctuary. I also plan on volunteering my time to help in any way I can.

Please help if you can....their need is enormous.

This weekend, the sanctuary will be holding an Adoptathon at PetSmart on Brock Rd, Pickering.

Make sure you check it out if you're in the area and looking for a pet cat.

I love all animals.  I do have a cat and a cockateil.  Buddy the cat, who is spoiled so badly it is awful.  I told him when I got him " you are not going to be spoiled like Puffy" , but I lied, it is worse. (Puffy died on Feb 10 at 1:30Pm 2007)  I miss her so much, she was so special.
