A Sunday School Teacher’s Prayer

Lord Thou hast given to me this day,

A piece of soft and moldable clay.

So help me dear Lord, to do my part,

To show them the love of Thy great heart.

They’re unpolished gems still in the rough,

And yet Thy word will be enough,

To make them gleam with heavenly light.

So help me dear Lord, to guide them right.

This one thing I must always see,

They’ll live somewhere for eternity.

So help me guide them on their way,

Prepared to live with Thee someday.
