The Evidence of Change

Is there evidence of change in the life that you’ve been given?

Does it prove to those you know that you’re on your way to heaven?

When one’s been born again, all things become brand new.

If that cannot be seen then salvation is not true.

If my life is just the same then am I really born again?

If there is no change at all then I am still in sin.

The change comes not from works, though they will show their part.

The change comes from within, when God’s Spirit’s in your heart.

Our feelings come and go.  Don’t base your hope on these.

For fickle feelings change, sometimes just with the breeze.

Jesus never changes, stand firm upon His word.

His promises are true, in this we are assured.

When Satan brings a doubt, on God’s Word we take a stand.

We must read it every day and keep it close at hand.

The Spirit of the Lord will bear witness in our heart,

That we belong to Christ and He will not depart.
