STILL  IN  LOVE  AFTER  44  YEARS

By Dean Beaty 8/14/08

How I thank God for a wonderful wife,

Who gives me such love and so little strife.

She’s not hard to love, so patient and so kind.

How did I make such a wonderful find?

As the years go by we grow closer to together,

Through times of calm or through stormy weather.

God’s been so good to bless me with you.

Without your sweet love whatever would I do?

Our home has been blessed because you were there.

There is so much love, there’s plenty to share.

As time goes by and through eternity,

I’ll thank God that you’re spending it with me.

GLADYS  AND  THE  LOST  PURSE

By Dean Beaty 9/3/08

Where are the things that I cannot find?

The next thing I’ll lose is my feeble mind.

How could a purse just “poof” disappear?

I’ve looked everywhere both far and near.

It’s not that my problems are really the worse.

But what is a lady without her own purse?

There’s lipstick and blush and a sharp nail file.

Without these things her whole life is a trial.

It’s just too big to fall through a crack.

I guess I’ll keep looking until it comes back.

If it could answer me back when I call,

Then I would not have to worry at all.

“Oh, precious purse, oh where did you go?”

I need it back with all of my dough.

I know I’ll find you somewhere, sometime,

I’m offering a reward,  up to a dime.

p.s. After prayer and persperation the lost purse turned up.

It's always the last place you look.

How Do I Love Thee?

By Dean Beaty 9/10/08

How do I love thee?  With all of my heart!

I could not live if we were apart.

We became one, just as God said.

I’ll be with you in heaven ahead.

I enjoy your presence above anyone.

I know no others who have so much fun.

Changes have come as the years have past by.

You’ve always been willing new things to try.

How do I love thee?  I hope that you know.

No other one has ever loved so.

All that I have, I most gladly will give,

All of my life as long as I live.

Each day brings new reason to speak of our love,

That lifts both our hearts to heaven above.

Joy fills my heart because you are near.

My constant thought is, “I LOVE YOU, MY DEAR..”
