Has anyone heard of this rogue surgeon in US..?
7/2/2008 11:58:29 PM

Rogue surgeon Jayant Patel (Doctor Death) is being extradited to Australia from his home in Oregon to face court on 3 counts of manslaughter.

Has anyone heard of this butcher, labelled Dr. Death, who was banned from medical practice in the United States. Somehow this was overlooked and he was hired by the Queensland Dept. of Health in Australia and worked in Bundaberg Base Hospital as Chief Surgeon.

1. A 15 year old boy's leg had to be amputated as a result of his poor judgement.

2. He botched a procedure on a young man leaving him impotent and urinating through his rectum, and a 30cm surgical clamp imbedded in his abdomen.

3. His patients suffered infections, internal bleeding from nicked arteries and mutilation of healthy organs. And they were the lucky ones.

4. He stabbed a man in the chest 50 times to try and drain a sac of fluid near his heart.

5. He is being investigated over the deaths of 87 patients.

A courageous nurse, Toni Hoffman, blew the whistle and ended his reign of terror.

Now the do-gooders in Australia are up in arms saying he won't get a fair trial. Can you believe this..?

Hey John,

Scary stuff. When you consider that this Dr Death was extradited his record should have been public knowledge. The Queensland Dept. of Health along with the infamous Doctor should be brought to trial and made to pay for the tragedies this animal caused!!!

The do gooders??? Who exactly are they doing good for?? The public, the patients or the possible patients that would have fallen prey to this monster had the whistle not been blown? The man deserves the worst that the Australian Justice system has on its books plus some.

Absolutely frightening story.

Shalom,

Peter

Hi Peter

Mate, that's only the half of it!

A retired QC, Tony Morris, was hired to setup a hearing into Dr Death at Bundaberg Hospital. As Tony Morris began to get to the truth of the hopeless incompetence by health bureaucrats, the hospital's stood-aside district manager, Peter Leck, and suspended director of medical services, Darren Keating, applied to the Supreme Court to disqualify Mr Morris on the grounds of "apprehended bias". They claimed they were questioned in a "scornful manner" by Tony Morris.

Unbelievably, the hearing was shut down.

On April 1, 2005, Patel's bosses at Bundaberg hospital signed off on a $3547 business-class, one-way air fare for him to travel to the United States, despite him being, by then, up to his neck in accusations of fatal incompetence. A Dept. of Health bureaucrat gave Patel a glowingly worded letter of thanks for his services, on Queensland Health letterhead, before he departed.

He is being brought back to Australia in the coming weeks to face trial.
