Wash Day

Wash Day

Now, this is really a cute one. . . .and
I've not seen it before, either!! That is
Getting to be a rarity!!!

Monday
WashDay
Lord, help me wash away all my selfishness and
Vanity, so I may serve you with perfect humility
Through the week ahead.

Tuesday  Ironing Day
Dear Lord, help me iron out all the wrinkles
Of prejudice I have collected through the years
So that I may see the beauty in others.

Wednesday Mending Day
O God, help me mend my ways so I will not
Set a bad example for others.

Thursday Cleaning Day
Lord Jesus, help me to dust out all the many faults
I have been hiding in the secret corners of my heart.

Friday Shopping Day
O God, give me the grace to shop wisely so I may purchase eternal happiness for myself and all others
 In need of love.

Saturday Cooking Day
Help me, my Savior, to brew a big kettle of brotherly
Love and serve it with clean, sweet bread of human kindness.

Sunday  The Lord's Day
O God, I have prepared my house for you. Please
Come into my heart so I may spend the day and the
Rest of my life in your presence.

If this message has inspired you in any way or
You feel that it can brighten someone else's day, please forward it.

Meet is fighting some kind of battle.'

Hello My Dearest Gaby !

Why is it that you are always the first one at the really good forums - LOL - There are so many mysteries in the Universe we do not understand but a person does not have to be a genius to know that if we follow a certain way of life we will be happier and the people we have contact with will have a greater respect for the person we are !

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the Inspiration my Friend.  Truer words have seldom been spoken.

Speaking of Wash Days, a few to tickle the funny Bone:

Signs I've Seen...

In the window of a Kentucky appliance store: Don't kill your wife. Let our washing machine do the dirty work.

In a Laundromat: Automatic washing machines. Please remove all your clothes when the light goes out.

And Speaking of Signs...

And of course, who can resist these bargains found in the Classifieds...

AMANA WASHER $100.
OWNED BY BACHELOR WHO SELDOM WASHED.

JOINING NUDIST COLONY!
MUST SELL WASHER & DRYER $300.

And finally, a little story...

Mary was married to a male chauvinist. They both worked full time, but he never did anything around the house and certainly not any housework. That, he declared, was woman's work! But one evening Mary arrived home from work to find the children bathed, a load of wash in the washing machine and another in the dryer, dinner on the stove and a beautifully set table, complete with flowers. She was astonished, and she immediately wanted to know what was going on.

It turned out that Charley, her husband, had read a magazine article that suggested working wives would be more romantically inclined if they weren't so tired from having to do all the housework, in addition to holding down a full-time job.

The next day, she couldn't wait to tell her girlfriends at the office. "How did it work out?" they asked. Mary said. "Charley even cleaned up, helped the kids with their homework, folded the laundry and put everything away. I really enjoyed my evening."

"But what about afterward?" her friends wanted to know. "It didn't work out," Mary said. "Charley was too tired."

Have A Beautiful weekend,

Phil

Hey Brother Phil !

Awesome reply as usual my friend. It would be nice if we could shed our soul and put it in with the laundry to get it nice and clean till the next week - LOL
