I. GO ORGANIC A. Start Gardening (obtain a gardening how-to book and get dirty) B. Check Produce Codes (produce has a sticker or label with a 4 digit PLU code...when the code is 5 digits beginning with a "9", it is organic...if it begins with an "8" , it is genetically modified) C. Add an eco-friendly item of clothing to your wardrobe (more and more retailers will be offering fabrics made from organic cotton) II. CLEAN GREEN A. Avoid: amonia, chlorine bleach, and sodium hydroxide B. Try: baking soda, vinigar, and lemon juice C. Check out "Shaklee" cleaning products http://www.shaklee.net/gogreen365  III. RECYCLE A. Save Water 1. Turn off water while brushing/shaving 2. Take shorter showers 3. Fix toilet and faucet leaks immediately B. Save Energy 1. Turn thermostat down 2 degrees (raise in summer) 2. Run dishwasher when full 3. Wash clothes in cold water C. For everyone who burns candles in their home should know that unless it says it's  100% natural, it is made from paraffin. It is the sludge that is left over from petroleum. Paraffin candles are the #1 source of indoor pollution, make the switch to All Natural Soy Candles. They are non-toxic, boidegradable, have a better fragrance, they last longer, they are better for you, the environment, and the support the American Farmer.
