In Sunday School this testimony was given by Ronda who has Lupus. She came to teach her Wednesday night class feeling terrible. The pastor teased her that she looked like she had been run over by a Mack truck. (Laughter is like medicine.) Well Ronda went to her class to find a little girl had made her a four page card. This gave my husband the idea for this poem.
JUST A CARD
By Rev. Dean Beaty 4/27/08
You can never tell just what a card can do
To lift a weary heart and help see one through.
Paper is so cheap and you can make your own.
You may never know the joy that you have sown.
We all can use a lift to our weary heart.
Take a little time and you can do your part.
You know the thoughts you had. Share them with someone.
Don’t let your life be dull. Do it, have some fun.
Those special words of care to someone on this day
Lasts eternally and will not pass away.
So take a little time and lift somebody’s soul.
You may be the one to make that person whole.
