So, as I was driving to my job today, I was thinking... Let's say I am a tree farmer, and I've got a couple of acres or so I'd like to get planted with some little baby Christmas trees.So here's my plan:1-I get in 10 teenagers, 15-16 year olds.2- I show them the land, and the little baby trees... (unlimited supply of baby trees)3- The offer:
- For every tree you plant, I will give you 5 points that you can collect. These points you can trade later for shares of company stock. One point per dollar's worth of stock.
- It will probably take you about 8 hours to plant 5-6 trees correctly.
- You are welcome to do this 24/7 for the next 6 months. Doing this there is a potential at that minimal rate to plant 4800 trees in six months.
- In addition, when the trees are ready for harvest, on any trees that you planted (we'll keep track) that generate sales of any kind, you may keep 70% of the profit. Trees that sell are those that are nicely filled out, tall and straight and groomed.
How many trees do you think those kids might try to plant? Some of them with vision might try and plant thousands, right? Because, in 6-9 years, when those trees are ready for harvest, they might be able to pay off their student loans from college. and, if they actually take care of the trees a little to encourage good growth, I suppose more of those trees will be "sellable". In addition, suppose they plant 2000 little trees each: That is $10,000 worth of company stock that they could trade in points for now and sell later, and maybe buy a house. Right now "my company" stock is worth $0.20, so they could get 50,000 shares. But once I put up my sign "Tree Farm", and everyone knows of it's existence.... I think my stock will soar... Here's the WHat if: What if it only goes up to $10/share and you sell your shares....oh, I could deal with ONLY $500,000. YOU? Plus, do you think those kids will tell everyone they know where to buy the best Christmas trees? Heck, they might even go out and drum up more commercial business... you know, sell to distributors (like the BoyScout Christmas tree stands you sometimes see, etc.) I don't know... just thinking .... seems to make a lot of sense to me. So, do you know any teenagers?(or anyone else?) Tell them my tree story...
