झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव के पांचवे और आखिरी चरण के लिए 20 दिसंबर को मतदान किए जाएंगे. इसको देखते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी मंगलवार को बरहेट में सभा करेंगे. इस चुनाव में प्रचार के लिए राज्य में यह उनका छठा दौरा है. पांचवे चरण के चुनाव में झारखंड विधानसभा की 16 सीटों पर मतदान किए जाएंगे. 2014 में हुए विधानसभा चुनावों में इन 16 सीटों में से छह सीटों पर झामुमो, पांच पर भाजपा, तीन पर कांग्रेस और दो पर जेवीएम ने जीत हासिल की थी. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Raghuvar Das inaugurated the lake resort at Patratu at a cost of Rs 70 crore on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, he announced free entry of tourists to the resort till Dussehra.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has announced the setting up of two new gas-based thermal plants in Chennai. The plants, intended to meet the ever-growing power needs in the state, will be created at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore. Each plant would be 730 MW in capacity.
