περιβάλλεται, ο περιβάλλων τόν ουρανόν έν νεφέλαις. Ράπισμα κατεδέξατο,
ο εν Ιορδάνη ελευθερώσας τόν Αδάμ. Ήλοις προσηλώθη, ο Νυμφίος τής
Εκκλησίας. Λόγχη εκεντήθη, ο Υιός τής Παρθένου. Προσκυνούμέν σου τά

TRANSLATION IN ARABIC
اليوم علق على خشبة الذي علق الأرض على المياة (3)
إكليل من شوك وضع على هامة ملك الملائكة
برفيرا كاذباً تسربل الذي وشح السماء بالغيوم
قبل لطمة الذي أعتق أدم في الأردن
ختن البيعة سمر بالمسامير
و إبن العذراء طعن بحربة
نسجد لألامك أيها المسيح (3) فأرنا قيامتك المجيدة
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Today
is hung upon the cross, He who suspended the earth amid the waters. A
crown of thorns crowns Him, Who is the king of Angels. He, Who wrapped
the Heavens in clouds, is clothed with the purple of mockery. He, Who
freed Adam in the Jordan received buffetings. He was transfixed with
nails, Who is the bridegroom of the Church. He was pierced with a
lance, Who is the Son of the Virgin. We worship Your Passion, O Christ.
Show us Your glorious Resurrection. FROM LIFE TO THE SEPULCHER

Christ, you, who are Life itself,
were placed in a sepulcher,
and legions of angels were astonished
by your condescendence.
How is it possible for you who is Life itself to die?
To abide in a grave? You,
who has dissolved the rule of Death
and resurrects Hades dead?

and in a new sepulcher is placed
he who has emptied all sepulchers of their dead.

Georgios this is so hauntingly beautiful!
It would have been a privilege to help him carry that heavy cross, but he did it to buy his people back from satan and he did.
