Our choice for the Poet of the Month for January 2008 was an easy one. Our Angel of Adlandpro and beloved by all will fill this forum with her wonderful poetry and related pictures. We are so proud to announce Pauline Raina as POTM January 2008.

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem this was the message the angels told to the sheperds watching over their flock at night. It still rings true to this day and as we celebrate His birth, these words are heard throughout the land. As a New Year unfolds, God’s promise of Peace and Goodwill remains in our hearts.
What better Poet to bring us hope of Peace and Goodwill with her poetry.
Hello Everyone At AdlandPro!
My name is John Sanchez and I was given the honor of introducing Pauline Raina for this award she is being bestowed. First, I would like to say that from the moment I met Pauline I knew I had met a kindred spirit. I could instantly tell that she was a genuine person with a genuine love for people. We quickly became best friends and I made her my partner at the Person of the Week (a.k.a. Feature of the Week) forum. Then one day I discovered that she was also a talented Poet so I came up with the idea to do a forum using her poetry and my photography. It quickly became a success with her beautiful poetry. Pauline is truly one of AdlandPro’s angels and she has had a big impact on the community with her Faith, her love, her presences, and even her poetry. :-)

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
Well heres my life in a nutshell .
I was born in Delhi, had my education at Agra, where we were based as my father was in the Indian Airforce. When I was sixteen I moved to Chennai [Madras] worked different jobs, till I was twenty-six.
Married the wrong guy in I980 but the joy of my life arrived in I98I in the form of my son Ryan... I was blessed again in I985 with another bundle of joy , my second son Bobby. Today Ryan is married and both he and his beautiful wife live in Bankok and are attending Bible College there. Bobby too has just recently joined them in Bangkok to be able to go to Bible College. In I996 I was divorced...and life has been quiet and peaceful since then.
I presently live in Madurai with my 88yr old father , I have been running a tailoring store very successfully for the past I8 yrs. But as on today I am planning a career change....lots of options..trusting God to lead me to the right one.,,and also plan to relocate to Chennai in the near future. Presently the move to Chennai has been stalled once again due to my fathers ill health. Do keep him in prayer.
My poetry writing started many years ago, I started writing devotional songs and have quite a few of them which I sing myself and have set music to it too, after coming to Adland and meeting so many wonderful friends, John Sanchez being one of them, and his passion for photography only drew out more from me as his pictures were very inspiring. We hope to soon have our book of poetry and pictures published in the near future.

Im glad I entered the online biz; which brought me to where I am right now, here in the midst of the most friendly community I will probably ever know. I thank Bogdan for having the vision..and giving us ADLANDPRO....Its amazing how many lovely friends I have made here... I cannot imagine doing business without having rapport with my customers...I have learnt this lesson from the I8 ys of experience at my store . Doing business now has become a pleasure to work alongside good friends and help build each other up.
Oh well did I say my life in a nutshell....well apparently not, so forgive me for going on and on.:-)

TREE OF LIFE
Barren stands the land around us

THE SPIRIT OF LOVE
MY SPIRIT SOARS,
AS FREE AS A BIRD,
COME DARK CLOUDS OR SUNSHINE
MY VOICE MUST BE HEARD,
NO SHACKLES THAT BIND ME
FOR I WAS MADE FREE
TO TRAVERSE EVERY DOMAIN
AND IN MY SPIRIT TO FEEL
YES TO FEEL THE WIND
THAT IS UNDER MY WINGS
IT TAKES ME A DIRECTION
SO I COULD SEE THINGS
THE VIEW FROM ABOVE
WHEN LOOKING BELOW
IS SURELY SO DIFFERENT

Rays of hope burst into dawn,
Where there was darkness,
I see a beautiful morn,
Assuring me of hope,
And brightening my day,
Telling me I am loved,
come what may.
And as the light came forth,
I knew I was blessed
to witness this day,
And in HIS love to rest.
For with every new sunrise,
That I get to see,
I know Im so blessed
Just to be 'Me'
Im grateful for the things that are in my life,
For dear friends and family,
And the courage to strive.
And as the dawn grows brighter into day,
I feel HIS grace upon me all the way.

I look at the sky,
Theres this glorious sunrise,
The Master painter's hand
Paints me a picture
As only HE can !
And the beauty of it is astounding!
Excitement in my heart, surmounting!
Wondering what this new day will hold,
Will promises be kept, and dreams unfold?
I cant wait to see,
What this new day has for me,
But yet this I know,
Another awesome sunrise I'll see.
For there'll come a new day,
Its blessings will bring,

Many thanks to Pauline for allowing us to present her poetry for January 2008. She has been so kind to work on this even in a very difficult time. I am glad I waited Pauline, it was worth it!
John, thank you so much for taking time out of your very busy schedule to introduce your friend.
This has definitely been an honor to make this presentation and to have a chance to read Pauline's bio and more of her poetry.

Hello Sara, "Wow!" again. Yes, I read Pauline's poetry too and she has an amazing talent of forming those thoughts and feelings in our souls, minds and hearts. I adored her the very first time I met her and did not know of all these other talents she has. I think it was her smile or maybe it was the way she hugged me... I don't know, but she encircled me with a warm wonderful friendship that I cherish. Thank you Sara!!!
