Hello Adland friends,
I’m grateful to all of you who voted for me. You make me feel so moved.
Well, I think I have to write about me now. But, most of you already know much about me. I had happy days as a little child and miserable ones after the age of 8 years and at the teenage. When we first start our steps in life, we think that everything we know will stay as it is and we deny thinking of what we may face in the course of our life. How can someone “prepare” a child’s mind and soul of life’s problems and tragedies? It seems that even as adults we are never well prepared and we always are amazed and sorrow floods our souls when problems arise. On the other hand, all problems and unexpected facts make us stronger for the future.
The years of my youth are hidden in a corner of my mind and come out when I visit places in which I usually was as a child or when I look at old photos. I feel that I spent most of my life as a married woman and a worker. Of course it’s true; I’m already 54 years old and my marriage counts 32 years.
I got married at the age of 22 to a wonderful man who could understand me. He was (and he still is) very patient with me as I’m a really free mind and I cannot “lock” myself anywhere. I have two daughters and a son. I liked to have many kids and I would have more if our family’s financial situation was better. I mean, if I was richer, maybe I had 5 of more kids (lol). It’s a miracle to give birth to kids and see them to grow.
I liked to work but the job I chose was not for me, most because I always could follow orders but not in a hard way. I wanted to know what I had to do but I didn’t like others to press me. One time was enough; there was no reason to hear the same thing again and again. I didn’t like to have any kind of a “boss” who just liked to order than to cooperate. I was very collaborative and I thought that others had to admit this instead of trying to “play” the role of a boss. That’s why I tried to be collaborative to my kids too. But this is another story.
In the age of 49 I quit my job, mostly because I was intellectually than bodily tired. I could still work for some more years but I thought that if I did so, the whole sky would fall on my head (lol). Obviously I had no more stamina. Since then, I spend much time networking online and trying to grow my online business.
My first social networking site was Adland and in this I’m mostly active. I’m in a lot of other social networking sites but I still think that Adland is the best. Here I found a lot of great people, most of whom I consider as friends.
Thank you all for your love and support.
Dimitra

Congratulations, Dimitra! Thanks for your heart-felt story, we're glad you are here and you've stayed here for a few years...is it 2 or 3 already? This is the place where we've all learned about other parts of the world directly from the individuals, and most importantly, that we're all the same when it comes to families and good and bad memories and decisions. Thank you and have a wonderful week!!
