Summer Nights
One Summer night when the heat had cooled
walking in the woods with you
Feeling the energy from the woods using
you to come right thru.
Looking up to the Stars as they are
dancing for us this night.
From within this clearing the Stars dancing
makes the Moon shine bright.
Hearing the breeze rustle thru the treetops
with the Owls still talking,
What a beautiful night to be out in the
woods star gazing and walking.
Stopping to listen to the sound of running
water below a small ridge,
Watching the water of the creek quickly
flowing below the wooden bridge,
Travel down the path together seeing all
of the streaming moonlit field,
Not being able to see the far side again
so not knowing where to yield.
Heading back to the road so we are able
to head home to end our stroll,
Getting there together talking about how
we had come and at what toll.
We had come together thanks to a
special and caring friend,
From the first meeting we knew our search
had come to an abrupt end.
We go inside to get some Cocoa then go
back outside to sit by the fire,
Sitting there talking and drinking our Cocoa
with the one we mostly admire.
