Hi Kathy, Well I guess Shirley (my wife, partner, lover) broke the norm. You see, we married 49 years ago this coming Sept 16th (my birthday). We married because we each KNEW we had found our life's partner, she at the tender age of 18, me at the beginning of my adulthood of 20. Each evening, without fail, one of us will tell the other "I love you"....now I think that's pretty darn good after nearly 49 years. Good day to you Kathy, Feelings are very powerful things indeed. If you have a very strong feeling inside it will take over you and drive you towards it. Much like a dream or desire, a goal or target..if the feeling is real strong you will move towards it and eventually reach your goal. When you think of true love nothing else occupies your mind than the person that has touched your heart. The world seems beautiful in everyway and a feeling of peace comes over you. The old saying follow your heart comes to mind here. Great subject once again Kathy and thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the forum again, Kathy. I wish I had known that several years ago. Not that I didn't love my husband then but he never seemed to respect me, there was not a good relationship there. At least I have found happiness now. God bless! Carla

Kathy, a Priest while giving marrage instructions to a couple said that it is said that Love is blind but he would advise that they keep one eye open. That suggests to me that there is a thin line between Love and Infatuation. I often times imagine what it must have been like in the Garden of Edan. I see Eve pulling out all the emotional stops on Adam who broke down in the end to join Eve in eating the forbiden fruit. Because of the frailty of human nature I doubt, seriously, that there could ever be the kind of Love (among human beings) you have described, kathy. I gather that you are speaking of Agape Love - only God can love that way. Rudolph.
