Hi Marilyn,
  This was a very touching story.  This is the time of year when everyone tries to do something nice for another person.  We try to be more considerate, understanding, and giving. 
  When Shirley had her band, her drummer was a man by the name of Dave Mansfield.  Dave is a quite person and we have remainded friends.  While making out Christmas cards this year, we included Dave and his family on our list.  Shirley received a phone call the other evening from Dave.  He recived our card and asked if we would like to join him and his family for their traditional gathering on Christmas Eve.  This will be the first Christmas Eve in over ten years that we will be sharing it with someone else, rather then being home alone watching T.V.

  As we got to know Dave, whom we have always tried to help in whatever way we could, we learned some very interesting things about him.  We have very little ourselves but always tried to share what we had with Dave, which he always refused.  We learned that he also goes by another name as well.  Davey Cretin.  Some members of AdlandPro Community will recognize that name because he has a Punk Rock Band by the name of Playex Novelties.  Platex Novelties was the first Punk Rock Band in Indiana and were inducted into the Punk Rock Hall of Fame in 1985.  They recently sold out in Europe and are getting ready to go on tour.  I never realized that we were close friends with someone that is known world wide or that he would care enough to invite us to celebrate with his family.  I just hope that he doen't sing.

Thanks for the story. I have copied it an will share it with my readers before the season is out.

I am building a library of stories like these, so I am always thrilled when I find a gem like "Red Marbles.
