My grandma bought me the series of Laura Ingalls "Little house on the prairie" books when I was very young .. so young she read them to me in fact. I have always enjoyed her books and loved the old TV program. They made life look like so much fun, but also hard and trying.
My Grandma told me life was so much simpler during that time when she was growing up. She remembered when the first cars came out. She used to tell me how life was when she was a little girl .. horse and buggy days she used to called it .. I am thankful she shared her life with me and told me all her stories. I remember them all and tell them to my kids today .
Laura Ingalls Wilder was a true woman of courage and deserving to be honoured, thanks Carla great choice.
