This beautiful Portrait of a Musician must have taken Leonardo some time to paint, so accomplished a work of art is it. But was it actually finished? I may be wrong, but it seems to me that at least the cap and the hands are not, at least not completely. Of course, even so it must cost a fortune.

On top of its immense worth as a Leonardo's most beautiful master work, this famous portrait of John the Baptist possesses a huge and deep intangible, esoteric value residing in the gesture the holy man makes with his hand as the Iniciator or 'Baptizer' (as per Christian terminology) of, of all others, the Savior of the World.
