VINCE, MY BROTHER-IN-LAW IS 100% ITALIAN. AND HIS MOTHER STAYED WITH HIM.

    Thanks guys for coming to visit my forum. I appreciate your comments and hopefully you can spread the word about my forums. I try to keep them entertaining and on the happy side. We all need to laugh!

Can I make a guess and ask if those are east-coast Italians?  Are there any other kind?  I'm Irish but we had lots of Italian neighbors in suburban Philly, my mom also put all the silverware on one side of the plate and napkin on the other side, and had homemade vinegar and oil dressing...but we Irish called it "sauce" , some of my Italian friends called it "gravy" and that drove me nuts! 

I meant we called the spaghetti sauce "sauce"...not the dressing!

    That always seems to be a point of arguement. Coming from NY, my family and relatives, along with all the other Italian families
call our macaroni(pasta) covering GRAVEY. Sauce was the term used by non Italians in our neighborhood.
