Nick,, Thanks for the insightfull info,, Microwaves are a dangerously freaky thing. The older the microwave the worse the safety feature are. We have one that (leaks) when it runs. I was curious one day.. I took a toy Karioke tape player and turned it on with no tape in it just had it set to microphone. i turned on the microwave and held the toy at one corner of the door to the microwave. I slowly moved the toy allong the door seem. As I moved it up the hinge of the door it made kinds of noises such as static and crackeling sounds.. An electrician said the microwave was unsafe to use it is leaking radiation out. and if you stood or sat infront of the thing while it operates it would most likely make anyone sick and might cause cancer over time... oh yeah the toy hasn't worked right since i did this little experiment. My daughter says I owe her a new one..
