10/2/2014 11:34:57 PM

If you will be given a choice to collect water from the river which one will you pick?

A Bucket? or A Pipeline?

Burke Hedges, the author of the book “Parable of the Pipeline”, explains that going to work is a similar phenomenon.

Most people trade their time for money – if you have a job or working for someone else where you work for a specific task done as part of the routine of one’s occupation for an agreed price. Services in exchange of your monthly salary that requires you to trade your time, effort, talent for money. This is no difference in filling your bucket each day with money because if you stop working, you run out of money. If you want more money you have to work more and this is where you have to carry more buckets.

While building a pipeline is a smarter way to have money flowing into your life even when you’ve stopped working. This is where money is the one working for you. There will be no limit on how much you can earn each day, each month and each year.
