Hi there Sara....

Thanks for taking the time to pop in, and to look at the video honoring the canines who have helped us so much, as we have faced peril and heartache. These search and rescue dogs are well trained and so important in aiding us humans when tragedy strikes. These dogs are always ready and willing, when they hear the call.

WE SALUTE YOU AND THANK YOU CANINE FRIENDS!!!

We love you too!

Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,

I'm not real sure who wrote this Poem, however I ran across it while going through some papers and I wanted to share it with you all this Evening. This is in Memory of my beloved Cocker Spaniel "Rusty". He was only here on Earth with me for the first 14 years of my life, and that was more than 50 years ago, however sometimes, even now, as a Smile comes into my heart, I can still remember him running happily across the old fields back home. I'll see you again real soon Old Friend.

High up in the courts of heaven today
A little dog angel waits;
With the other angels he will not play,
But he sits alone at the gates.

For I know my master will come, says he,
And when he comes he will call for me.
The other angels pass him by
As they hurry towards the throne,
And he watches them with a wistful eye
As he sits at the gates alone.

But I know if I just wait patiently
That someday my master will call for me.
And his master, down on Earth below,
As he sits in his easy chair,
Forgets sometimes, and whispers low
To the dog, who is not there.

And the little dog angel cocks his ears,
And dreams that his master's voice he hears.
And when at last his master waits
Outside in the dark and cold,
For the hand of death to open the door,
That leads to those courts of gold,
He will hear a sound through the gathering dark,
A little dog angel's bark.

Have A Bright & Beautiful Weekend My Friends,

Phil

“There may be trouble all around, but I am calling you to a place of peace. Be still and know that I am God. Come to Me, and I will give you wisdom, strength, and grace for everything you face." Psalm 46:10

Hello Cheryl,

Yes I bring them inside from time to time, usually one or two at a time. Rockie and Leo are use to coming inside and know how to behave themselves, the puppies are still young and I have to watch them like hawks as they are still inclined to chew on chords, paper and my husbands taxidermy mounted duck! What a mess with feathers in all directions..

When it is thunder and lightening and heavy rain as some of the bad storms are very scary to them I will bring all 4 inside for a while until the thunder settles down. Those are the times when the wind changes the directions of the rain so they do not have anywhere dry to hang out that it is even soaking wet under the porch. Then they can sleep on the back porch as all 4 inside all night is a little difficult - they would all want to sleep on the bed with me! *lol*
Rockie is my companion and mostly lives inside with me.

Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Hey thanks for sharing all your doggies with us. Leo looks very gentle...even though he's a big guy. They are all very sweet looking. Do they get to come inside or are they always outside dogs?

Yes, another friend told me she thought the static dog was a Maltese. Very priceless little thing, and quite a star by now! LOL!

Have a super Labor Day weekend,
Cheryl

Hi Phil,

Thanks for finding that poem about a special dog, and it's good to see you here. Hope you had a nice weekend Phil.

Come back i n just a little while, and watch the YouTube clip I'm going to post about a dog named Faith. It's really a good one & you may have seen it before. I'm just seeing it for the first time though, and it's quite remarkable.

Take care,
Cheryl
