The Best SEO Tool: SEO Elite

Four Most Important SEO Techniques
By Joaquin Costa

It is not a very difficult thing to be included in the top ten list of the search results page of Google. You simply have to have a strategy that works; you also have to be persevering and patient with the work. You benefit from having an idea as to how the algorithms of the search engines work and what their criteria is when it comes to ranking sites. These are some simple SEO techniques that you can use to get into the top ten list even for the highly competitive keywords.

Tip 1: Publishing articles
Your articles should be published on article directories, blogs, web portals for the industry, online magazines, and many others. These are ways for you to promote your site, get added back links, and secure media buzz. The article that you publish must be relevant and worth the time of the reader. It should be interesting and useful.

You must include keywords in both the title as well as the body of the content. This will allow the web crawlers to go through your site. If your subject matter and content is interesting, it will help you to bring traffic into the website. Do not forget to post your website's link on the articles that you publish.

Tip 2: Update content
It is very important to have content that is frequently kept fresh and updated. This is one of the most important things you need to remember when doing SEO but sadly most website owners do not follow this. The search engines keep track of how frequent a web page's content is updated. You need to have content that is useful and relevant so that you gain a good ranking and authority. Web site crawlers go through this new content and do page re-indexing.

You need to properly place and target the keywords so that you can show multiple results that go to your website. This is true even if the search engines have altered something in their algorithm. Having a high ranking page involves hard work. These are often calculated by the search engines so you will lose out if you do not keep the site frequently refreshed.

Tip 3: Contextual blogging
The newest trend in online advertising is the use of contextual blogging. Blogging is very useful for business owners. It shares relevant information to people and their peers. It provides useful information for the readers especially if you are an expert on your field.

Tip 4: Web directories and links
Links coming from the link directories are not enough to take effect with search engines. But there are some authentic directories that have a high page rank themselves. This is a great way to get deep links, inbound links, and search engine authority.

If you are looking for top SEO packages then do a proper research to find the top SEO professional to help you with your website ranking.

All of that is good advice. It's funny. There are tons of gurus telling you they have the latest trick or technique to get "loads" of traffic. But all it really takes is regular article posting, regular blog posting, blog commenting, regular directory listing and more. Keep creating content and links and you'll get all the traffic you need.

I have reviewed over 20 different SEO and link building tools you can use to get your content spread all over the Internet. Check out the reviews at Cheap SEO.

SEO or PPC? Which Web Marketing Strategy Has a Better Return on Investment?
By Larry David

PPC:

* PPC allows more control over flexibility of budget
* PPC allows adjustments to be made on short notice
* PPC results are seen more quickly than with SEO
* Very few changes to the website are required with PPC
* PPC brings more targeted leads to the website
* PPC is a great way to support short-term promotions
* If a business is already number 1 in SEO, PPC can remove advertising space from competitors.
* PPC has 1.2 times SEO's conversion rate

SEO:

* SEO is crucial in terms of a long term strategy for online businesses
* SEO gets 7 times more clicks than PPC. More website visitors means more clients
* Around 10% of search marketing dollars are spent on SEO. The rest is spent on PPC.
* This means that 10% of search marketing spend is focused on where 90% of the clicks come from.
* In the long run, SEO can be more cost effective than PPC, especially for more competitive keywords.
* An effective SEO strategy can remove space for a bad reputation through negative reviews.
* SEO takes advertising space away for the competition
* SEO helps improve AdWords Quality Scores
* Some SEO strategies such as video SEO can achieve page 1 results relatively quickly.

When examining the two search marketing strategies, there was no clear winner between SEO and PPC. They both have unique advantages that can be used to achieve different goals. In most cases, it's important to have a combined, holistic strategy to search marketing. The combined use of PPC and SEO provides more of a significant lift for each listing than only appearing in one or the other. A combined strategy also allows you to reach a more broad search audience. So, our conclusion is to first identify your businesses objectives and then choose the best suited search marketing method, SEO, PPC or both - to accomplish those objectives.

Improving Your On-Page SEO
By Staz Johnson

If you want to undertake the correct search engine optimization in order to get your site into the top rankings on search engines, you need to do the appropriate off-page and on-page SEO. By 'on-page' I mean utilizing things such as the page headers, title, image tags, metadata, internal links and the actual main content. The following article will review how to best improve your on-page SEO techniques.

Picking a good domain name:

Were your domain name is concerned a search engine will be scanning it for certain keywords. For example, imagine you have a website called 'how-to-create-a-website.com' when people search for "How to create a website" they will be directed towards your website (among others) in their search results. So clearly it is in your best interest to include any keywords you have in your site, in your domain.

Submitting the URL of your site to search engines:

A big step in improving the SEO of your page is to submit the URL of your site to search engines, this includes engines like Yahoo, Bing, Google etc. This is quite an easy process, Google for example has a webmaster tool in which submitting your URL is facilitated. Doing all of these things may not always be enough, they may also take some time to become effective. This doesn't mean you should ignore them, they are still vital in improving your SEO.

The title of each page:

How you tag the title of each page is crucial, when your page is listed in search engine results it will be this title that is listed. People will choose to visit your site based on the title most of the time, as well as the title affecting the rankings as a whole due to the keywords contained. You need to ensure your keywords and titles are relevant to the target audience you are hoping to attract, this is because people will often click on the site that most closely matches the keywords they searched for. The title shouldn't be too long while your keywords should not be overused in the content of your page.

The meta tag:

In order to give search engines a quick summary of what your website contains, the meta description is used. This should be short and to the point so search engines can get a quick idea of what your site is all about.

Main Content

The main content of your page is what your page is all about, so you need to be careful what you do with it. Within this content there should be internet links, the main body and breadcrumb navigation. If you have the keywords contained within the main body too many times search engines will consider it spam, with this in mind you should try to keep the keyword density down to around 3%, this way the SEO does not suffer.

5 Steps To A Great SEO Campaign
By Byron Cole Smith

The first real step to anything is research, and lots of it. The most important step to any SEO campaign is keyword research. The first step to consider is the niche you are in, and the products or services that you are promoting. You should come up with a list of potential keywords that your customers would use to find you on the web. After that you could use the Google keyword search tool to analyze your list, checking the competitiveness, number of monthly searches and the strength of the competitors currently on page one.

A competitive market analysis is the next important step you should take. After you have your final keyword list, create a spreadsheet with all the keywords than list all the competitors from page one of Google. You could use a program like SEO quake to collect some of the data that you will need like their page rank, number of indexed pages, inbound links, whether or not they have a site map or not and much more. This will tell you how difficult and how long of an SEO campaign you will be embarking on.

Next step should be the on page SEO factors of your website. First and for most is content, if you are not providing quality content that solves people's problems than your efforts will be in vain. Great content will keep your visitors coming back on their own which will greatly assist your SEO efforts. Make sure all the on page dynamics such as header tags, meta tags, alt tags for images, correct HTML code is done correctly. These are the simple things that improve your 'findability'. You also want to ensure that you have a proper site map created and submitted to the search engines, this will increase your chances of all your pages being properly indexed.

Number four is off page SEO strategies. The biggest and most important overall here is back linking. Google views every back link your site has as a vote for your site from someone else. The best back links you can get are called one way links. One way links are where another website links to you without you having to link back. Good examples of this are article marketing, blog commenting and directory submissions. Reciprocal linking is where you link out to website a and website a in turn links back to you. These are also good links but you should only focus on the ones targeted to your niche and those having a higher page rank then you. Good back linking takes time and effort, this cannot be accomplished over night. You should also avoid any link scams, link farms or questionable linking strategies. If you have to stop and wonder if it's ok to do it then it probably isn't.

The last step that is very crucial to your SEO success is the overall promotion of your website. There are several ways of effectively promoting your products and services via the internet.

1) Video marketing, this can be promoted in conjunction with your website or separately for added exposure.
2) Email marketing, this allows you to keep track and communicate with your customers and potential customers.
3) Web 2.0, these are blogs, hub pages, wikis and such. Also a great source of quality back links for your site.
4) Article marketing, if done correctly this will establish you as an expert and help you to generate back links and additional traffic to your offers.
5) Local search marketing such as yahoo local and Google places, if you have a business in the offline world you certainly want to use this method to promote your business. Google places for instance typically will come up first in the search results.

These are just a few of the strategies that you can use to begin a successful SEO and web promotion campaign. The most import step you will take is to take action. Everything you do should be with the intent of growing your business.
