Putin moves missiles to North Korea border as Russia gets ready for WAR

VIDEO footage appears to show Russian military forces being moved on mass to the border with North Korea as the world edges closer to World War 3.

Russia has reportedly moved weapons towards Vladivostok, just eight miles from the border with North Korea.

The city is within striking distance of Kim Jong-un’s secretive state.

And .

Although unconfirmed by the Russian government, the movement of tanks and missiles was spotted by terrified people living in the border city and posted on social media.

According to reports, the military convoy caught on camera included eight surface-to-air missiles, all part of Russian Air Defence.

Vladimir Putin already has a major navy base in Vladivostok.

WAR: Putin has allegedly moved missiles to the Russian border with North Korea

The threat comes after warnings from top experts that North Korea will have as many as unless urgent action is taken.

Kim Jong-un has already warned North Korea is prepared for all-out war with the US.

In retaliation, to the tubby tyrant.

Donald Trump is said to be “preparing to strike” amid growing tensions over North Korea’s nuclear weapons.

The US president appears to be ramping up his military capabilities after dropping a in Afghanistan last week.

ANGRY: Trump has stepped up US military action

But since the emergence of the Vladivostok footage, fears have grown that North Korea could become the trigger for a conflict involving the US, China and Russia.

Both China and Russia consider North Korea as a necessary buffer state, which they need to keep stable for their own national security.

It comes just days after Rex Tillerson, US secretary of state, said

China has pleaded for the US and North Korea to back down.

On Friday, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi warned that "conflict could break out at any moment".

He said: “We call on all parties to refrain from provoking and threatening each other and not to let the situation get to an irreversible and unmanageable stage.”

Meanwhile, Vice President of the US, Mike Pence, has threatened .

‘Facebook Killer’ Commits Suicide

“Steve Stephens was spotted this morning by PSP members in Erie County. After a brief pursuit, Stephens shot and killed himself,” Pennsylvania State Police tweeted at 11:46am local time Tuesday.

Stephens was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot inside a white Ford Fusion near Buffalo Road and Downing Avenue around 11:10am, police told the Erie Times-News.

The car was reported facing west toward Erie, across from the former Burton Elementary School, where local and state police were cordoning off the area.

Stephens, 37, was wanted for aggravated murder in relation to the Saturday shooting of Robert Godwin in Cleveland, Ohio.

Maggie Green, Stephens’ mother, was one of the last people to speak with him before he took to Facebook Live and chose to kill Godwin at random. Green heard of Stephens’ death via radio reports, according to Fox News.

“‘Momma this will be the last time you see me…I just wanted to see you for the last time,’” Green said her son told her, Fox News reported.

In a press conference officially announcing the end of the manhunt, Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams told reporters that police “received a tip that the vehicle we were looking for, a white Ford Fusion, was in a McDonald’s parking lot near Erie,” and that as officers approached, Stephens took his own life. Williams said he “preferred it not end this way,” as there remained “a lot of questions” — including from Stephens’ family — as to why he did what he did.

Williams clarified that he was still waiting on more information from the Pennsylvania State Police, but that he was told a short pursuit ended when Stephens stopped his vehicle, and, as police approached, shot himself.

In a Facebook post updating their initial report, Pennsylvania State Police said that “troopers in marked patrol units” pursued Stephens’ vehicle for about two miles before “troopers attempted a PIT maneuver,” in which police spin out a suspect’s car by hitting it from the rear.

As the vehicle was spinning out of control from the PIT maneuver, Stephens pulled a pistol and shot himself in the head,” state police said.

A patrol trooper involved with the pursuit could not stop in time and slid into Stephens’ vehicle causing minor damage,” the Facebook post added. No injuries to police or the public were reported.

U.S. Fighter Jets Intercept Two Russian Tactical Bombers 100 Miles Away From Alaska

The two Russian Tu-95 “Bear” tactical bombers flew roughly 280 miles southwest of Elmendorf Air Force Base, within the Air Defense Identification Zone of the United States. The U.S. Air Force promptly scrambled two F-22 stealth fighter jets and an E-3 airborne early warning plane to intercept the Russian bombers.

The American jets flew alongside the Russian bombers for 12 minutes, before the Russian bombers reversed course and headed back to their base in eastern Russia.

An official quoted by the Washington Examiner said that while TU-95s are capable of carrying nuclear weapons, the planes involved in Monday’s incident did not appear armed. The interception was conducted in a “safe and professional” manner, the official added, as the bombers did not violate U.S. airspace or break international norms.

Monday’s incident comes amid escalating tension between Russia and the U.S., particularly over Syria’s ongoing civil war. Trump’s decision to strike Assad’s government earlier this month put the U.S. at odds with Russia, which has long supported Assad. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said last week that the chemical attack was staged.

Lavrov also said that another U.S. military strike in Syria could prompt “grave consequences not only for regional but global security.” Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said earlier this month that U.S.-Russia relations have hit “a low point” following the strike. The top U.S. diplomat added that “improvement in the long-term relationship” between both nations is required to resolve the conflict in Syria.

The last time Russian bombers flew near the U.S. was July 4, 2015, when a pair of Russian bombers flew off the coasts of Alaska and California, coming as close as 40 miles to Mendocino, Calif. Russian President Vladimir Putin called then-President Barack Obama to wish him a happy Independence Day while the bombers cruised the California coastline.

More Americans suffering from stress, anxiety and depression, study finds

An estimated 8.3 million American adults suffer from serious psychological distress.

More Americans than ever before are stressed, depressed and anxiety-ridden, and many are unable to get the help they need, a new study suggests.

An estimated 8.3 million American adults — about 3.4 percent of the U.S. population — suffer from serious psychological distress, an evaluation of federal health data concluded. Previous estimates put the number of Americans suffering from serious psychological distress at 3 percent or less, the researchers said.

“Mental illness is on the rise.Suicide is on the rise. And access to care for the mentally ill is getting worse,” said lead researcher Judith Weissman. She’s a research manager in the department of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.

This increase is likely a lasting after-effect of the Great Recession that began in late 2007 — a stress-filled time that caused long-term emotional damage to many Americans, Weissman suggested.

Many people psychologically affected by the Great Recession haven’t been able to get the help they need, either because they can’t afford it or because their condition hampers their ability to seek out treatment, she said.

As a result, hundreds of thousands of Americans live with serious psychological distress, an umbrella term that runs from general hopelessness and nervousness all the way up to diagnosable conditions such as depression and anxiety, Weissman explained.

“The recession seemed to have pushed the mentally ill to a point where they never recovered,” she said. “This is a very disturbing finding because of the implications of what mental illness can do to a person in terms of their ability to function and their life span.”

The study included national health data from a survey conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. More than 35,000 households nationwide participate each year.

The investigators found that between 2006 and 2014, access to health care services deteriorated for people with serious psychological distress, compared to people without emotional distress.

Comparing self-reported psychological distress symptoms across nine years, the research team estimated that nearly one in 10 distressed Americans in 2014 did not have health insurance that would give them access to a psychiatrist or mental health counselor.

In 2014, people with serious psychological distress were nearly three times more likely to experience delays in getting professional help due to insufficient mental health coverage than people without serious distress, the study findings showed.

Approximately 10 percent of people with serious psychological distress could not afford to pay for their psychiatric care in 2014, up from just under 9 percent in 2006.

The economic turmoil caused by the Great Recession struck at the heart of the American dream, rattling some to their core, Weissman said.

“Earning and sustaining a living is getting harder for people, especially for men,” Weissman said. “The loss of jobs could mean there’s a loss of community and a loss of role as wage earners and providers.”

Dr. Harsh Trivedi is president and CEO of Sheppard Pratt Health System, a Maryland mental health provider. He said constant noise from the internet and social media likely serve to amp up people’s anxiety and angst.

“In the past, you may go out and meet with your friends and talk about something, but when you got home you’d go to sleep,” Trivedi said. “The difficulty now is you can’t really turn things off. We don’t necessarily have downtimes to recharge and get our bearings straight again.”

Weissman pointed out that psychologically distressed people already struggle to deal with the health care system, and on top of that there are national shortages of mental health professionals.

And, Trivedi added, the ongoing debate over the Affordable Care Act isn’t doing distressed individuals any favors.

“If you are in a more distressed state, how easy is it for you, from a psychological perspective, to seek care?” Trivedi said. “If the overall market is shifting, and you are more psychologically distressed, how are you going to have the faculties to keep track of your access to health care?”

Weissman said insurance companies should pay for mental health services, which need to be more fully integrated into primary care for people.

“We need to increase access to care for the mentally ill,” she said. “We also need to put trained psychiatrists and mental health providers within the primary care setting. If you have linkages of care within primary care, then the mentally ill patient can be helped even if they’ve come in for some other reason.”

The study was published April 17 in the journal Psychiatric Services.

FRANCE’S MARINE LE PEN PLEDGES TO SUSPEND ALL IMMIGRATION TO FRANCE, PROTECT COUNTRY FROM 'SAVAGE GLOBALIZATION'

BY

Far right French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has vowed to suspend all immigration to France to protect voters from what she has dubbed “savage globalization.”

Le Pen, who is expected to make it through to a second round showdown with centrist Emmanuel Macron on 7 May, told a rally Monday that she would impose a moratorium on “all legal immigration” in France.

"I will protect you. My first measure as president will be to reinstate France's borders," the National Front (FN) leader told the rally of around 500 people in Paris on Monday night, six days before the first round of the election on April 23.

"The choice on Sunday is simple. It is a choice between a France that is rising again and a France that is sinking,” she said

Le Pen urged her supporters to “fight for victory, every last minute!”

“If every patriot can this week convince just one abstentionist, just one undecided voter, we are sure to win," she said.

French left-wing newspaper Libération described the speech as “one of the most hardline of [Le Pen’s] campaign so far.”

He promised that he would be a “ president of the awakening of our European ambitions."Le Pen’s main rival, Emmanuel Macron, struck an inclusivist, pro-European tone at a rally nearly four times larger at the Bercy Arena in Paris on Monday.

"We are going to turn the page on the last 20 years because our generation is ready for change," he told the 200,000-strong crowd.

Macron is on course to win 24 percent of the votes in the first round, Le Pen 23 percent, Republican candidate Francois Fillon 19.5 percent and far-left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon 18 percent, according to a poll published Monday by news channel BFMTV.
