Thanksgiving Again

I Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks:

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (KJV)

Thanksgiving day is almost here.

It comes around just once each year.

It's good we set this day apart,

But thankfulness should fill our heart.

Not once a year but all year long.

In prayer and praise and also song.

Paul told us, “In every thing,”

Our thankfulness to God we bring.

Let me give you some good advise.

Note all God's gifts and count them twice.

Count your blessings, they'll multiply.

And from the heart with joy you'll cry.

So don't just wait for once a year,

To let your heart be full of cheer.

Observe thanksgiving everyday.

You'll find the Lord has blessed your way.
