NO OIL PRODUCING AND EXPORTING CARTELS ACT OF 2005

Mr. President, I rise today to introduce, with Senator DeWine and 11 co-sponsors, of the No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels Act of 2005 ("NOPEC"). It is time for the U.S. government to fight back on the price of oil and hold OPEC accountable when it acts illegally. This bill will hold OPEC member nations to account under U.S. antitrust law when they agree to limit supply or fix price in violation of the most basic principles of free competition.

For more info read it here:

The Congressional Record is free and open to the public to view at any time.

Get involved and tell the Senate and Congress and the Prez "NO MORE HIGH GAS PRICES".

Here we go again. Good old U.S. mentality - take it for granted that U.S laws apply to other soverign countries. The U.S.A. is not a world government with others vasal states!
Then the question is asked "Why do they hate us?" The audacity to even propose such an ignorant bill is the mentality that needs to be addressed in perceptions about the rest of the world.

Yes the oil sheiks are holding the world to ransom. Try $10 per gallon as in the U.K. at present, but what we have to look at is who is profiting from trading oils and energy shares.
I think we will find that the muscle behind the OPEC are shares dealers and owners sitting in NY. DC. Brussels and London. The problem lies a lot closer to home than we think!
