THEY THOUGHT SHE WAS INSANE: DOCTOR FINDS RFID CHIP IN SEX TRAFFICKING VICTIM…

KALEE BROWN

The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 20.9 million human trafficking victims worldwide and 4.5 million people trapped in forced sex trafficking around the globe. At least100,000 children are prostituted annually in the U.S., adding to the $9.8 billion U.S. sex trafficking industry. This is an extremely lucrative business, as pimps typically make between $150K and $200K per child annually and exploit 4-6 girls, on average.

Human trafficking remains a major problem worldwide, and it’s not just pimps and escaped convicts involved. It’s politicians, the elite, wealthy businessmen, your neighbours, and oftentimes the people that you’d least expect. There was an astonishing 35.7% increase in the amount of human trafficking victims in the U.S. between 2015 and 2016, and that’s just the known number of victims. This begs the question: Are we getting better at finding them, or are an increasing number of people being forced to sell their bodies? Sadly, statistics suggest the latter.

Technology has played an integral role in finding these victims in recent years; however, technology can also enable human trafficking through the dark net and even through the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips. One doctor recently came forward, whose identity will be kept anonymous, to share his story in surgically removing an RFID chip in a female sex trafficking victim. How can the healthcare system help these victims and what can we do to put an end to human trafficking?

Doctor Extracts RFID Chip From Sex Trafficking Victim

In October 2016, a 28-year-old woman walked into a hospital claiming that she had a tracker inside of her body. Although the doctor said the woman looked respectable, the nurses and doctors on site were still skeptical of her story, until they gave her an X-ray.

“Embedded in the right side of her flank is a small metallic object only a little bit larger than a grain of rice. But it’s there. It’s unequivocally there. She has a tracker in her. And no one was speaking for like five seconds — and in a busy ER that’s saying something,” the doctor explained.

As it turned out, that small metal object was an RFID chip. “It’s used to tag cats and dogs. And someone had tagged her like an animal, like she was somebody’s pet that they owned,” he continued.

It’s important to note that RFID chips aren’t like every other tracking device or GPS system. The type of chip that was inside this woman could only have been used to track her if the person tracking her was nearby. This means that she was likely kept in a confined area with her captor, as if she truly were a pet who needed to be kept close to her owner.

In truth, she was forced into the world of sex trafficking by her boyfriend, who was acting as her pimp. He chipped her to ensure her compliance, forcing her to sell her body for sex and then give him the money. This isn’t an unusual practice, either, as many industries, from prostitution to manufacturing to domestic service, will chip their “employees.” (source) Read more about RFID chips and their potential and current uses in our CE article here.

Already in use, RFID chips stand to become common technology. An American company calledApplied Digital Solutions developed one the size of a grain of rice and it’s already been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for distribution and implementation. You can read more about that in our CE article here.

The potential issues regarding microchipping the human race are endless. Would we have any privacy? It’s easy to imagine how the elite and the government could use microchips to further control the general population. Is it even safe to put inside of our bodies or would we experience another drastic increase in cancer rates? Plus, if this becomes common practice in the world of human trafficking, would this help us find victims or would it only help those controlling them?

How Healthcare Providers and Others Can Help Trafficking Victims

Human trafficking has been a serious issue for decades, from underground elite pedophile rings to slavery to sex trafficking. The level of corruption may seem overwhelming, but there’s always something we can do to help! One industry in particular that can help free sex trafficking victims is the healthcare system.

As many as 88% of sex trafficking victims end up in ERs while they’re still being held captive. This means that hospital staff have the opportunity to interact with these victims and thus help them escape. The difficulty is identifying sex traffickers and then understanding how to get them the help they need.

A quarter of healthcare providers believe that their patients have been involved with human trafficking, yet very few are actually educated on how to correctly handle this situation. There are almost 6,000 hospitals in the United States, yet only 60 of them have specific protocols in place if they suspect one of their patients is a trafficking victim. As a result, an alarming 95% of ER personnel are not adequately trained in treating trafficking victims.

Unfortunately, it all comes down to lack of funding, as many hospitals simply cannot afford to run education programs for their staff or offer additional services to trafficking victims. Fortunately, that’s not the case in every instance. A number of hospitals and doctors in Hawaii, New York, Texas, and Massachusetts have recently opened up free clinics for trafficking victims.

And it’s not just healthcare providers that are stepping up; for example, Ashton Kutcher recently designed a software that is currently being used by 4,000 officers in the U.S., which allows law enforcers to reduce investigation time by 60%. Another tool that his company developed, Solace, is anticipated to be able to cut down investigation time from three years to only three weeks. You can read more about his technologies and his work fighting human trafficking in our CE articlehere.

Kutcher actually highlighted another industry that has the power to make a huge difference to the lives of sex trafficking victims during his speech to U.S. Congress — the foster care system. In 2016, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children estimated that one in six endangered runaways reported to them were likely sex trafficking victims.

Ashton states, “I was astonished to find out that 70% of the inmates in the prisons across this country have touched the foster care system and 80% of the people on death row were at some point in time exposed to the foster care system… Foster care children are 4 times more likely to be exposed to sexual abuse. That’s a breeding ground for trafficking, I promise you that.”

Another trafficking pipeline he mentions is the lack of mental health support offered to both the victims and their perpetrators. We cannot just hand people prescriptions and assume that this will put an end to their nightmares. Anyone who is subject to this kind of abuse, or is the abuser themselves, will likely require long-term counselling and therapy.

This isn’t just an issue of search and rescue, either. Human trafficking can only be stopped if we work toward fixing the entire system. This means understanding why this happens in the first place so we can prevent it from occurring as well as providing better support to victims and perpetrators after the fact.

Perhaps if the government allocated more resources toward finding these victims and preventing these underground rings from existing in the first place, human trafficking wouldn’t be such a large-scale issue. However, the sad reality is, the U.S. government and the forces that control it are a huge part of the problem.

U.S. Government and Elite Involvement in Sex Trafficking

According to the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, the U.S. has the largest share — a whopping 50% — of commercialized child pornography websites in the world. Countless Americans each year will also engage in sex tourism, which is when someone travels to countries with less strict or no laws surrounding prostitution and child sex slavery, yet they’re very rarely caught doing so.

There has also been a lot of speculation lately on child sex rings being used by the U.S. government. You may be familiar with the PizzaGate scandal, which allegedly unearthed a very high-level elitist global pedophile ring the U.S. government was involved in.

It emerged when Wikileaks released tens of thousands of emails from the former White House Chief of Staff under Bill Clinton, Jon Podesta, who also served as Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager. It’s because of these emails that many claimed Jon Podesta was a part of these child trafficking rings as well.

Below is a video of award winning American journalist Ben Swann explaining the Pizzagate controversy in detail:

This isn’t the first time people were concerned over sexual abuse by government officials. Ted Gunderson, former FBI special agent and head of their L.A. office, worked to uncover years worth of information on high-level pedophilia, sexual abuse, and satanic rituals performed by the elite. You can read more about that in our CE article here.

Gunderson worked alongside Brice Taylor, a sex slave involved with an extension of the CIA program MK Ultra. You can watch her testimony here:

Former U.S. representative Cynthia McKinney also knew about the government’s relationship to human trafficking, and she actually addressed it in 2005. She grilled Donald Rumsfeld on DynCorp’s child trafficking business of selling women and children (source).

Another individual involved in high-level trafficking was Jeffrey E. Epstein, who in 2009 pleaded guilty to charges of soliciting prostitution from girls as young as fourteen. He served just over a year in jail and became a registered high-risk sex offender. He was close to Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and many other elitists.

According to former U.S. State Department official Steve Pieczenik, the Clintons and many more “have been a major part and participant of what’s called the Lolita Express, which is a plane owned by Mr. Jeff Epstein, a wealthy multi-millionaire who flies down to the Bahamas and allows Bill and Hillary Clinton to engage in sex with minors — that is called Pedophilia” (source).

Numerous victims involved in elite sex rings and occult sex rituals have come forward, exposing high-level corruption in regards to human sex trafficking and pedophilia. One of the more recent victims to come forward was a woman named Kendall who was sold at birth into a powerful, high-level international sex ring. You can read more about her story in our CE article here.

Where Do We Go From Here?

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all of the darkness in the world, and society often places the blame on others and demonizes those involved with these violent acts. We tend to dehumanize pedophiles, child molesters, rapists, and abusers, demanding punishment for their crimes and responding to their actions with hate and anger. However, if we fail to recognize the humanity in them, how will we ever learn why these violent acts occurred in the first place?

Have you ever made a mistake that forced you to really question your humanity? In reality, our mistakes don’t dehumanize us, they’re part of what makes us human in the first place. Our mistakes help us learn and grow as spiritual beings, which begs the question: Can we ever really make a mistake? Nevertheless, it’s still disheartening that these “mistakes” include violent acts such as rape, pedophilia, and human trafficking.

We shouldn’t be encouraging trafficking victims to hate their perpetrators, nor should we be judging or expressing hatred toward those involved with the facilitation of sex rings and human trafficking. By choosing hate, we end up bottling up anger and resentment, which ultimately hurts no one but ourselves. If we choose forgiveness instead, we can learn to better cope with the more difficult events in our lives. Even if you feel the perpetrator doesn’t deserve forgiveness, I’m sure you can agree that the victim deserves freedom.

Choosing forgiveness doesn’t have to mean compliance, either. We can still change this reality without attaching ourselves to our emotions. By shifting our consciousness and educating others, we can make a difference!

#Trump and US #Syria Attack: Hate to Say I Told You So! #UnitedStatesOfAggression

I was actually planning to publish a completely different post. But we have breaking news that can’t wait: US attack against Syria.

Yep, hate to say I told you so since October 2016, or BEFORE US Elections, and then continued reiterating after. Should have listened to me…

CONFESSION: Granted, most of my followers and so many others who listen to me were so excited and had such high hopes for Trump that I didn’t have the heart to tell you the whole story – that most hopes, if any, will never materialize.

Even the relatively moderate amount of disclosures I made triggered a certain ‘kill the messenger’ effect. I don’t need psychic attacks, cold shoulder and disbelief thrown at me (affects me terribly as a highly advanced empath) simply because I am trying to help and enlighten people. So, I spoonfed the truth to you all. Now that most of those who had stars in their eyes have seen the reality, I’ll tell you more going forward. Some of it today and some in future webinars and books.

I received a number of comments and emails from concerned followers. Here are a few:

Nancy C/Seattle I don’t understand Trump’s authorization for US military strikes against Syria’s military base earlier today. Surely Trump knows the gas attack on civilians was not in Assad’s best interests and is clearly a false flag?

Nemo1024 Newsflash: Trump seems to have been subverted. US launched an attack on the sovereign state of Syria using a false flag pretext and before any investigations into it could be conducted. Syrian airbase that was specifically fighting isis was targeted. 3 Syrian soldiers killed, as well as 2 civilians from a nearby village. Isis used this diversion to launch an offensive on Palmyra.

Nemo1024 Important citation: https://www.rt.com/news/383837-russia-syria-flight-safety/ “Without bothering to investigate anything, the US went forward with a demonstration of force, a military confrontation with a country that is fighting international terrorism,” Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement reads. “Obviously, the cruise missile attack was prepared beforehand. Any expert can tell that the decision to strike was made in Washington before the events in Idlib, which were used as a pretext for a demonstration.”

anthonyra82 Dear Lada, The latest developments in Syria are very disturbing. I knew you said Trump would disappoint a lot of people but I could not imagine he would escalate tensions with Russia like this. As always your opinion and thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

Kauilapele (KP)

Lada, all this latest is such a false flag setup. I posted a few links at the post below. May be helpful to your analysis.

Thank you Lada. Yes, you hit it right on. Yet (strangely?) I have hope for this planet’s future… It’s name is Russia… And the awakening people of this planet…

LADA RAY SAYS:

…and the penny drops

What we see here is a logical progression of what I predicted and warned about in EARTH SHIFT REPORT 16: US ELECTIONS & WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER and in LADA RAY WEBINAR 1: WILL TRUMP SURVIVE HIS FIRST TERM?

Let’s recall my predictions from the end of October-beginning of November 2016 (before elections), reiterated and expanded in December 2016 (TRUMP vs CLINTON: How Will Electors Vote on Dec. 19?), and then much expanded and added to in January 2017:

1. I said that Trump will be allowed to win, but that he would make deals, and that he already began making deals with the other side before elections. In other words, he will dilute (and he has!) his pre-election promises and agenda that has allowed him to win in the first place.

2. I said that Trump won’t be assassinated, as many predicted, in December or before he takes office in January, but rather it will be judged by those who pull the strings from the shadows that it is easier to make deals with him, keep him tied up with problems and subtly direct him into a narrow tunnel, where he has no choice other than to act in a specific way.

The new popular term is ‘deep state.’ LOL, so NWO and Bilderberg aren’t fancy enough any more (of course not – after I predicted in 2014 that NWO was in the process of collapsing inESR1: IS PUTIN PART OF NWO?). The new ‘deep state’ shiny conspiracy theorist toy has been found in order to distract from the reality and truth. Therefore, I do NOT use the term ‘deep state’ as it’s another gimmick to distract people from what’s important. But whatever, call it what you want. Those same people who are now parroting about ‘deep state’ were indecently enthusiastic about Trump last year. And?..

3. I expanded my predictions about Trump in my January Webinar. I termed what would happen to him once he took office: ‘a straight jacket.’ In other words, as I explained, he would be (and he already is and has been) severely restricted and sabotaged in any of his movements. He’s in a very restricted, tightly controlled and rigid corridor out of which he cannot escape.

And so, Trump has become a regular US president, in other words, a figurehead. In reality, he NEVER TOOK POWER!

4. I further said that they would throw him a bone or two, allowing him to appear as if he won in a few cases. But he won’t accomplish much.

5. I also said that he and his family will feel under threat and simply to survive he’ll have to toe the line. Security is the primary reason why Melania and Barron Trump have refused to move into the White House – as discussed in the WEBINAR.

6. In LADA RAY WEBINAR 1 we also discussed why Trump has to appease the military, CIA and Pentagon, giving them whatever they want. And what they want is: escalation of military conflict, pushing NATO to Russian borders, war in Syria and the Middle East in general. In short, the usual suspects.

7. In LADA RAY WEBINAR 1 I also predicted exactly how long Trump will be in the office. Which won’t be long! Check it out, if you haven’t yet – it’s a must listen and must know if you want to understand the logic of the events and what will happen next.

NEW LADA RAY ANALYSIS AND PREDICTIONS

Of course as predicted, Trump diluted his agenda until it became practically non-existent. This is especially true for international affairs.

PREDICTION:

UNFORTUNATELY, USA AND WEST IN GENERAL ONLY UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE OF FORCE AND FEAR. NO AMOUNT OF GOOD WILL AND COOPERATION RUSSIA TRIED TO EXTEND TO THE WEST EVER WORKED AND IT ALWAYS BACKFIRED.

IF THEY FEAR RETRIBUTION, THEY’LL RETREAT AND PRETEND THEY WANT TO NEGOTIATE. BUT NEVER OF THEIR OWN GOOD WILL.

THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF THE YANG, AGGRESSIVE WEST. IT HAS BEEN SO FOR CENTURIES AND IT WILL BE SO UNTIL CONSCIOUSNESS ON OUR PLANET RISES SUFFICIENTLY ABOVE THE FEAR, GREED AND LOWER CALIBRATIONS.

THEREFORE, TRUMP, US, EU & OTHER AGGRESSORS WILL ONLY DO THINGS PEACEFULLY IF RUSSIA IS STRONG ENOUGH TO FORCE THEM TO.

Here we have to get back to St. Petersburg Metro Bombing. Let’s combine the very telling timing of various events:

1. Russian and Belorussian fake anti-corruption ‘protests,’ (Russian protests organized by a known US/CIA agent Navalny);

2. Suspicious timing of the near-rift between Russia and Belarus with subsequent Putin-Lukashenko meeting in St. Petersburg and announcement of a unified energy grid;

3. Same day as Putin-Lukashenko meeting: St. Petersburg Metro attack takes place;

4. False flag Idlib chemical attack and conveniently blaming it on the usual scapegoat Assad – same timing as above;

5. Immediate follow-up to Idlib chemical attack : US/UK announce a joint attack on Syria, bypassing UNSC.

6. In this regard, yet again I am so sorry that Russian star diplomat, Vitaly Churkin, has passed. He was a force in the UN to be reckoned with. This likely would not have happened on his watch, or he would’ve made it very hard for it to happen!

Here we are back to what really happened to Churkin in New York. I know many of you expected me to write about it, but I didn’t feel like delving into all that disgusting negativity. I replied to a few of my private clients, whose worried emails I received back then. To be blunt, I said that Churkin didn’t die of a heart attack – he was murdered.

7. At the same time, Trump and key members of his team, including the ones he was forced to part with, are under investigation for ‘alleged ties with Russia.’ Add to that the investigation re. ‘alleged Russian hacking and interference in elections.’ And here is that ‘Trump’s straight jacket’ I have repeatedly predicted!

As we see from the events unfolding over the course of several months, this sequence of events has been prepared for a while. It was the shadow plan, whether Trump was privy to it or not. The preparation began BEFORE he took office.

As I gently predicted, those in the shadows allowed Trump and his supporters to think they’ve won, they allowed Russia and the sane part of the world to hope it would get better, but then the situation was manipulated in such a way so it would be back on track, and even worse than before. As I predicted back in 2016!

Broken promises and shuttered dreams are always worse.

Moreover, look at the devilish masterfulness of all these decoys! It coincided with Russia and Putin being distracted with Navalny protests and then almost immediately, with St. Petersburg Metro Bombing and Russia’s mourning. This has distracted Russian leadership and civilians.

You may not know this, but at the very same time Russian RosGvardia (National Guard) installation and troops were attacked in Astrakhan’ and N. Caucasus (I believe in Chechnya). At the same time, another bomb blew up near Rostov-on-Don school (thankfully, no casualties). Also at the same time Russian policemen found 3 explosive devices camouflaged as flashlights, meant to cause damage to police. Again, thankfully they didn’t explode. All the above happened within two short days.

Additional potential terrorist acts are being discovered and wannabe terrorists are being rounded up daily. They are almost exclusively either from Ukraine or from Central Asia. There are some from N. Caucasus.

All these fake protests, Metro bombing, potential and actual attacks against Russian RosGvardia and police installations keep Russian law enforcement and military on high alert internally. No one has been paying much attention to Syria due to all these events happening simultaneously.

And while these distractions were being generated, attack against Syria was being prepared. The Idlib chemical attack false flag and Syria bombing episode happened under the cover of terror attacks and fake protests in Russia.

Just to further expand on the devilish plan of those who really pull the strings. We already know that the grand plan is to keep Russia and Ukraine at loggerheads and continue to stoke the resentments, so that Russians and Ukrainians – two parts of the same people – would always hate each other. Hence so many terror traces leading to Ukraine.

But there is an equal interest in keeping suspicion and hatred between Russians and Central Asians. Putin made huge strides in improving relations with Central Asian ex-Soviet republics. HUGE strides – it’s actually day and night compared to the ’90s and 2000s. Moreover, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are members of Eurasian Union, and some others are in talks. In this regard, who do you think has been arrested as one of the alleged St. Pete bombers? A Kyrgyz national with Russian passport, plus several more migrants from Central Asia. It’s very easy to dupe and seduce these poor Muslim migrants into doing illegal things: promise them lots of money, threaten their families they left behind in Central Asia, brainwash them with ISIS radical ideology, etc.

But even this is not all. While all this is happening, NATO (specifically UK and Germany) are amassing troops and tanks on Russian borders. My intel from Bulgaria (a NATO member, where peaceful people are very worried about the developments) says that up to 750,000 NATO troops and thousands of tanks have amassed near Russian borders!

At the same time, US is pushing NATO to grant Ukraine a ‘most favored nation outside NATO’ status. The next step is for NATO troops to invade Ukraine.

So much for the ‘beautiful’ dream of Trump… THEY YET AGAIN WANT TO START WWIII!

And only Russia, as always, stands in the way of the global catastrophe.

U.S. Strike in Syria Raises Tensions With Iran

April 08, 2017

© REUTERS/ Robert S. Price/Courtesy U.S. Navy

The United States has fired nearly 60 Tomahawk missiles at a military airfield in Syria, the first direct military action Washington has taken against Syrian government forces in the six-year-old conflict.

The US said the missiles on Friday severely damaged or destroyed Syrian aircraft and support infrastructure and equipment at the airfield.

US President Donald Trump said he ordered the strikes against Shayrat air base in Homs province, saying it is believed that a suspected gas attack on a town in Idlib province had been launched from there. Trump said he acted in America’s “vital national security interest”.

World and regional leaders and countries were quick to react to the news.

Russia, which has been bombing rebel-held areas in Syria in support of President Bashar al-Assad since September 2015, condemned the strikes, saying Washington’s action would “inflict major damage on US-Russia ties”, according to Russian news agencies.

In its first public response to the attack, the Kremlin labelled the US move as “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of international law”.

“Washington’s step will inflict major damage on US-Russia ties,” Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson of Russian president Vladimir Putin, was quoted as saying.

In contrast, Saudi Arabia said it “fully supports” the strikes, adding that it was a “courageous decision” by Trump in response to the alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians in Khan Sheikhoun.

“A responsible source at the foreign ministry expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s full support for the American military operations on military targets in Syria, which came as a response to the Syrian regime’s use of chemical weapons against innocent civilians,” a statement carried by state news agency SPA said.

The statement said it holds the government of Assad responsible for the deaths of dozens of civilians in Khan Sheikhoun.

Iran, an Assad ally, said it strongly condemned the missile strikes against the Syrian army’s Shayrat air base.

“Iran strongly condemns any such unilateral strikes … such measures will strengthen terrorists in Syria … and it will complicate the situation in Syria and the region,” ISNA news agency quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi as saying.

Turkey, which hosts three million Syrian refugees, said it views the US missile strikes positively and called for the establishment of a no-fly zone, as well as safe zones, in Syria.

“What happened in Idlib on Tuesday proved again that the bloody Assad regime show complete disregard for the prospect of a political transition and efforts to enforce the ceasefire,” read a statement by presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin.

“The destruction of Sharyat airbase marks an important step to ensure that chemical and conventional attacks against the civilian population do not go unpunished.”

US afraid of real investigation into Syria chemical incident – Russian deputy UN envoy

Edited time: 7 Apr, 2017 20:07

The US missile strike in Syria “only facilitated the strengthening of terrorism,” Russia’s representative at the UN Security Council has said, adding that it shows Washington is “afraid” of a “real investigation” into an alleged chemical attack in Syria.

The US has “attacked those who combatted terrorism” in Syria, the Russian deputy acting envoy to the UN, Vladimir Safronkov, said at a UN meeting on Friday.

Saying that Washington’s attack on a Syrian airfield in the early hours of Friday morning was an “illegitimate act of aggression” on a “sovereign country,” the Russian diplomat said that the strike had “raised the spirits of terrorists” in the region.

Previously, Washington had justified the presence of its troops in Syria with joint efforts in fighting international terrorism, Safronkov said, adding that the recent attack had proven otherwise.

The US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley called Washington’s action “fully justified,” having alleged that the US strike “destroyed the airfield from which this week’s chemical strike took place.

Haley also mentioned Iran and Russia as “guilty parties” who bear “considerable responsibility” in the Syrian crisis, and went on to say that Washington was “prepared to do more.”

Every time Assad has crossed the line of human decency, Russia has stood beside him,” the ambassador claimed, adding that “the world is waiting for Russia to reconsider its misplaced alliance” with the Syrian president.

Washington and its allies, especially in London and Paris, are “obsessed” with a “paranoid idea” to overthrow the legitimate Syrian government, the Russian representative said.

The Syrian government is not in control of the area in Idlib province where an alleged chemical attack happened, the Russian diplomat said, adding that the US is “afraid” of a real, genuine investigation into the incident, which might have proven them wrong in blaming president Assad for the alleged use of chemical weapons.

The alleged use of chemical weapons tactics would have been counter-productive for the Syrian government, the Russian official said, adding that such provocations only benefit terrorists and hardened opposition.

He also criticized Washington and its supporters for having put aside the UN’s “golden standard” of the presumption of innocence, saying that in the case with Syria it had been ignored.

While Russia has called for a united anti-terrorist front in the region, the US has chosen its own path, he said.

Having accused Washington of hypocrisy, the Russian diplomat said that Moscow considered the US attack in Syria “an attempt to sidetrack the attention” of the world from its actions in Iraq’s Mosul.

The strikes on Syria are also an attempt to sidetrack attention from numerous casualties among the civilian population in Iraq and Syria, caused by [America’s] unilateral actions,” Safronkov said. He added that such a policy undermines the UN's efforts to achieve a peaceful solution to the crisis.

Think of the consequences of what you’ve produced in the Middle East and how it affects the political process,” the diplomat said, addressing the US and representatives of the nations which expressed support for the missile strike.

You must remember the tragedies for the countries, the whole regions and the people caused by your choice of action,” he added.

We call on the US to immediately stop the aggression, join political efforts and start a coordinated fight against the terrorist threat,” Russia’s UN representative concluded, saying that Moscow remains open to such cooperation.

Warplanes strike Syrian town hit by chemical attack

BASSEM MROUE

BEIRUT (AP) — Warplanes on Saturday struck the Syrian town where a chemical attack had killed scores of people earlier this week, as Turkey warned that a retaliatory U.S. missile strike on a Syrian air base would only be "cosmetic" if greater efforts are not made to remove President Bashar Assad from power.

The airstrikes on the opposition-held northern town of Khan Sheikhoun, where 87 people were killed in the chemical attack earlier this week, killed a woman and wounded her son, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and the Local Coordination Committees, an activist collective.

Elsewhere in Syria, U.S.-led airstrikes killed at least 21 people, including a woman and her six children who were fleeing on a boat across the Euphrates River near the Islamic State group's self-styled capital, Raqqa, the target of a major offensive by U.S.-backed and Kurdish-led Syrian forces, activists said.

An airstrike on a rebel-held town in the northern Idlib province killed at least 18 people, including women and children, according to the Observatory and Ariha Today, an activist group. It was not immediately clear who carried out the strike.

Near the central city of Homs, a bomb exploded aboard a bus carrying workers, killing a woman and wounding more than 20, according to state TV and the Observatory.

The chemical attack prompted the U.S. to launch nearly 60 Tomahawk missiles on a Syrian air base early Friday, which killed nine people and marked the first time Washington has directly targeted Syrian government forces since the war began in 2011.

The move was welcomed by the Syrian opposition and its main backers, including Turkey and Saudi Arabia, but harshly condemned by Russia and Iran, who back Assad and said striking his forces would complicate the struggle against extremist groups.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said the U.S. strike should be the start of a renewed effort to end the civil war, which has killed an estimated 400,000 people and displaced half of Syria's population.

"If this intervention is limited only to an air base, if it does not continue and if we don't remove the regime from heading Syria, then this would remain a cosmetic intervention," he said.

He said the best outcome would be a peace agreement that leads to a transitional government accepted by all Syrians, followed by elections in which all Syrians, including those living abroad, could vote for new leadership. For that to happen, he said, "this oppressive Assad needs to go."

Iran, which has provided crucial military and political support to Assad, meanwhile called for a fact-finding mission to determine what caused the chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun. State television quoted Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as saying the committee should be impartial and "must not be headed by Americans."

Rouhani said "neutral countries should come and assess to make it clear where the chemical weapons came from."

Syria's government has denied carrying out any chemical attack, and Russia's Defense Ministry said the toxic agents were released when a Syrian airstrike hit a rebel chemical weapons arsenal and munitions factory.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson canceled a planned trip to Russia because of fast-moving events in Syria. Johnson said the situation in Syria has changed "fundamentally" following the chemical attack and the U.S. response.

Johnson condemned Russia's continued defense of Assad "even after the chemical weapons attack on innocent civilians."

He had planned to travel to Russia Monday on a trip intended to start a fresh dialogue with Moscow.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson meanwhile plans to meet with G-7 foreign ministers in Europe next week before going on to Moscow. Johnson said Tillerson will be able to give a "clear and coordinated message to the Russians."

In Damascus, dozens of Syrian students gathered outside the offices of the United Nations to protest the U.S. missile attack, chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel."

University student Ashraf Fadel said he came to denounce "the unjust American aggression against Syria." He added that the United Nations was "created to support America instead of serving the wronged people."

In a separate development, activists opposed to the Islamic State group said a U.S.-led coalition airstrike hit a boat carrying civilians fleeing across the Euphrates River. The groups Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently and Sound and Picture said the attack killed a woman and her six children. The attack occurred in the Shuaib al-Zeker area, near where U.S.-backed Syrian fighters have been battling IS under the cover of coalition airstrikes.

Activists and state media said a separate airstrike by the U.S.-led coalition on the northern IS-held village of Hneida killed at least 14 civilians, including children. The Observatory said 15 people, including four children, were killed in the airstrike. The Sound and Picture group said the airstrike hit an internet cafe, killing 14 people.

In Saudi Arabia, the official Saudi Press Agency reported that U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken by telephone with King Salman about the U.S. missile strike on Syria.

The news agency reported that during the Friday phone call, the Saudi monarch congratulated Trump for his "courageous decision."

Saudi Arabia said the missile launch was the right response to "the crimes of this regime to its people in light of the failure of the international community to stop it."

The kingdom is among the most vehement opponents of Assad and supports Sunni rebel groups fighting to oust him. The Sunni rulers of Saudi Arabia are in a power struggle for regional dominance with Iran's Shiite government.
